Lol! Actually experienced that when I went to another school as a guest and used a move that was not allowed in their martial art style. The instructor was like, "No! You can't do that! It is not allowed!" I did learn a few good thing (always willing to take the few good things), but that place was limiting my ability. Absolutely loved this video!

I don't know what you want your future prospects to be, but I pray you one day make it to the big screen and we be able to see full feature movies with you guys in it. You got the moves, you got the humor and above all, you got tge spirit. Seeing you guys makes me notice how much I yearn for a rivival of the 90's and 00's when Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Tony Yaa were at their prime and martial arts even soaked into other genres, bringing us the TMNT triology. Anyways, you guys are frickin awesome and I hope you make it big time!

Actually this video really shows the reality of MCdojos. 😂 I practice karate kyokushin and judo for years. Last week I decided I should try kickboxing and try to learn more about it. I heard about a famous gym that trains kickboxing. Everyone would tell me oh the fighters are strong there so i went. The first thing I was told there from the kickboxing coach was that any move from karate or judo was not allowed and I was like ok. It was my first day there and I asked the coach to teach me techniques and how to box, kick and so on. But!!!! He taught me nothing. He just did the warm ups and put me in the ring. I told him I've never played kickboxing before and I don't know any techniques however he didn't even care. Just to spice things up, before I got into the ring he actually yelled out saying that karate and Judo are useless and that I've learnt everything wrong. I was pissed off. That's so disrespectful. Anyway look at what I did. I versed 10 of his strongest fighters and guess who won in all of them? Me😂 I was like ok you're disrespectful towards me, i'll teach you how to respect others. He didn't even teach me any kickboxing techniques so I used karate kyokushin moves and Judo moves. I ended all 10 fights in the first few seconds. Either a kick in their face, or stomach or a low kick or a punch on the nose or a judo throw with a slam on the ground. I bowed and got off the ring after I finished all 10 fights. I won't lie, they did try throwing punches at my face and one fighter did punch me yet I felt nothing at all and I kicked him in the face then through a super man punch. I realized non of his students knew what technique is. They just fought like crazy people. Anyway I left the gym and acted respectful. They're all so shocked and didn't expect that karate or judo would actually help in any fight. It's not about what type of martial art you play, it's about how you play it and fight. It's about using your brain while fighting. Now the funny thing is, I'm a girl. 😂 I fought with male and female kickboxing fighters and won. I'm used to fighting with males because in karate kyokushin and judo, I always fight with males and females. Now the more shocking thing is that I wasn't wearing any protection just punching gloves. Not even teeth protection while they all were wearing protection including shin protection. The most shocking news is that the ones I fought with have joined tournaments and won. I guess they won in those tournaments because they fought like crazy people. I guess I showed them what a crazy person using her mind and techniques can be. 😅 Thank God I found another gym and good coach that teachers proper kickboxing. Imagine in one hour, he taught me a lot. Believe me either the coach turns you into a failure or turns you into a warrior. Kickboxing is a beautiful type of martial art yet sadly not all kickboxing coaches know how to teach. The same goes for all types of martial arts. Always select a good coach and a good dojo.

I was 17 y/o, I was with a good karate school. (I'm 55) I wanted to also learn kung fu so I went to a supposed Shaolin school. They led me to believe that I was going to have to pay thirty bucks a month. I agreed and signed the paperwork. After four days they told me I had signed a contract and they needed 1500 dollars. I had four hours to get out of this contract. I had to write a letter and get it notarized. My dad flipped out and being the old SOB he was he went to the school and raised hell. I got out of the contract and practiced karate in their dojo for a month (since I paid for one month) I was good enough that nobody messed with me. The point is this is a common scam for not only martial arts but dance schools too. BE WARNED.

+fireheartis1 I would suggest looking up what they are and how to tell signs that a martial art school might be a McDojo. In a nutshell though, a few things to look out for when spotting a McDojo would be: ~they charge unfair prices for tuitions ~they have you sign a contract that normally binds you into paying for that school to a said date even if you decide you dont wish to attend ~you have to pay anything extra other then for class or uniforms to learn new skills or gain a new rank ~their ranking systems and methods dont match the culture of the art (going to learn Kung Fu and they use color belts which is only in Japanese karate) ~your teacher has no background proof of history of the style they teach, who taught them, or where they even got their certification to teach from (one school in my area says they teach "8 Step Mantis Kungfu", to which looking online there is "White Mantis" style, but no such thing as "8 Step There is a whole lot more but just do some looking.

D.J. Mays Well from what you described I don't have to worry about the school I attended. Heck my instructor let students learn that couldn't afford the tuition by having us clean the dojo after each class. That's a great way to know they are not fakes. If they are willing to teach even if you can't pay then there is no way it's a mcdojo.

+D.J. Mays I would say that a マク道場 or McDojo is a place operated by someone who is very limited in their understanding of (Japanese/Okinawan) Martial Arts and only wants to exploit it to make easy and fast money. I feel that if we do not have a understanding of what a 道場(どうじょう)dojo is then it is hard to say what is fake or a マク道場 or McDojo. The reason why I am using Japanese is because McDojo of course has the Japanese word dojo in it. Which implies that there is a Japanese/Okinawa connection. If we do not know how a dojo is different then a gym then it is very hard to address this topic. Osu

Common mistake: when executing, try to land your feet on ground far away. Please make a mark on ground. Lay down with your waist on that mark. Now, execute that movement. Expecting your feet will land on ground where your waist was (on that mark).
