Revisiting this thanks to the Saints On This Day twitter account. Still get a tingle watching it with what was probably the best atmosphere McDiarmid's had.

Gives me goosebumps! Thanks for posting! Its sad to think about the state of Scottish football these days tho. 10,000+ in the first Div....We struggle to pull 3000 these days in the Top division. These were good times.

Was at that fantastic game and after the match I drove to Glasgow passing the Airdrie fans buses so had to rub it in by waving saints scarves out of the window. Boy were they pissed off, thank god I never broke down

everything about this game is brilliant. the atmosmphere was amazing the game itself incredible 'those were the days' It truely is a shame we dont pull in that kind of crowd every week but asking punters to fork out 20 quid to watch saints v hamilton is a tall ask

where did all the fans go. wish we could get that support now, think all teams do.
@monkey69915 жыл бұрын
Marina Dixon ticket pricing, they’ve priced fans out the game. You take yourself your kids, get food, drinks, programme ect you’re talking in excess 35pounds + Until they get realistic it’ll never change. Not to mention the league is boring playing the same sides 7 times a season with a boring 1 down system.

the hamburg game was the best for me, not only did we gub them 3 - 0, but the right back was running scared of Fred Aitken lol. That has always had ne in stitches, Sandmann was the guys name.
