Do either of you feel, as I do, that a bosal hackamore and horsehair mecate put a neck rein on a horse faster than a snaffle and say split reins?

Quite enjoyable! Yes it is not enjoyable working in a pen with a horse when it feels like your dragging it’s nose around. When I was young and started horses we only had one bit. Just a medium port. So dad had us cross the reins under the horse’s neck and in the right hands this worked extremely well for teaching neck reining and bringing the nose around.

Related to bending, I am wondering how you get a horse to keep it's ears level when doing a bending/stretching exercise? Hope this makes sense. Looks like Chris is beating the heat up in Dubois. What's with the date on this video? I thought I missed a few days!
