I don't know why but I like the videos where we have Cooper Geenberg ! The way he is keenly listening to what Chris says, and his sense of humour just makes the video so much more interesting for me 🤘😎🤘 a fan 🔥

It's because he's an amazing player but you can tell he's humble enough to admit when he just doesn't know something. So in a lot of ways he kind of asks the questions we all want to know.

Just got a 000-14 Custom Shop Martin vts torrefied w/Addy top, Hog b/s....LOVE IT!!!!! The vts top is a cannon! And the first thing I noticed was how light it is!

Thank you for your critiques, Cooper and Chris. Chris' explanation of the "Addy-tude" in these guitars interacting with the mahogany back, sides, and neck was quite helpful. Wow!

The dread specs seem inspired by a D18GE.. and I am absolutely floored by mine every time I pick it up. Gonna be a beast once that Adi top breaks in for sure.

I have one also. If you have played it much over the past 20 years it should be awesome by now. Mine is. David Crosby once said that it takes about eight years.

Yes! That 000-18 VTS is SUPER. Especially with a 1 11/16" nut Custom SHOP. Not sure if that or 000-28 Modern Deluxe is better but the technical answer is 'it depends.' What I'm singing and which one I can play. Chris and Cooper are correct...the guitar you're making music with is most important. Warms my heart to see folks tapping feet, clapping and singing along. Thanks Chris for the comparison.

Just picked up the D14F/Custom Shop D18 in the vid. The wood does so much to the sound its just not a D18. I love D18's. But the Adi top/bracing makes this thing its own guitar. It takes a little getting used to because there is just so much going on. Brilliant.

How about a comparison between this D14 and a standard D28?

I just bought a Martin acoustic HD-35 and can't seem to find any way to register the warranty online. I live in Europe and the online warranty register only seems to apply to USA & Canada. Anyone know how you register the warranty if you live in Europe?

I am new to playing the guitar. I own an Academy 12 and want to buy a Martin because I love their history and story of the company. These best of the best guitars have too much boom and echo for my taste. Based on the sound of these two I would rather keep my money in my pocket if this is the best of the signature Martin sound.

Hello guys. Would it be worth it to add the VTS Adi and the HideGlue on a standard D18? So expensive. Difficult decision. I basically only Travispick. Thx

A great review! A shame that they had to use animals to glue the guitars. I had not heard of a d-14 before. How is that distinguished from a D-18? Higher grade mahogany?
@texhaines99573 жыл бұрын
The animals are not harvested to make the protein glue. The glue is made from boiling the collagen from hides, bones and tendons. Some guitar manufacturers use protein glue from fish.
