He is not singing correctly unfortunately. A lot if musos rush their singing development because economics still rewards them without developing the proper technique. It's very hard to reverse once incorrect technique has been ingrained

@@vjm5246 how can u tell he's not singing correctly
@vjm52463 жыл бұрын
@@YangYang-dk2ew because I know how to sing. He hasn't found his mix. You can always tell when volume increases with higher pitches. He pushes. I think he's has operations on his vocals as well which is result of this problem

Hes definantly not at his singing peak, not even close. His singing was best in the early 2000s, probably peaked around 2006 ish. But hes deffo at his peak of guitar playing rn

@@vjm5246 he's made big strides, actually. He's had to have surgery for vocal chord nodules because of his singing from the chest and pushing, not using his diaphram. His voice is markedly different now.

John has got me through some very difficult times in my life. Took my son to a concert about 4 years ago. This may be the happiest I had ever seen my son up to that point. My son fell in love with the sound of the lyrics and music melding into a singular sound. Now my son has dedicated his life to music. He feels this is the best way to express his emotions. Thank you, sir. You helped unlock my son's love of music.
@vg67623 жыл бұрын
Hey Matthew, Your comment stood out to me - my dad and I saw JM for the first time in ‘08 and it was during that concert that I decided “I want to play the guitar like that”. Shortly after, I began playing and in no time was flawlessly covering many of JM’s hits. Fast forward 13 years, and roughly six years away from guitar all together, and I plan to purchase a long-desired Martin 000 this month to revisit my love for guitar, JM’s songs, and life’s fondest memories. Thank you for sharing your experience with JM’s musical talent - it brought about some really great memories for me!

No Loops, No samples, No music created by a Mac…just pure talent and amazing song writing. Anyone who bags on John Mayer doesn’t know good music. Unfortunately, he’s a dying breed in music. From 2001-2021. Nothing. But. Good. Music.

You need to get out more....thousands of 14-17 year old Neil Young and James Taylor and Joni Mitchell acolytes are alive and well. As for looping....well, come into the 21st century, man. It's often put to very good use by acoustic players.

In light of all comments & replies, it’s obvious there’s a trending opinion/idea by fans new and old. The real question is: What can we do to get this artist the actual historical notoriety & recognition that’s been trending discussion worldwide for so long? Not just as his fans but as a collective society? As a society in a digital “super connected” age, having enough people in agreement of this idea- it’s obvious this warrants a larger discussion. So, How can we make that happen?? Those that agree, further thinking to gather options is necessary. This is not an impossible feat. In my opinion, because of John Mayer’s natural humbleness, he, himself would never assemble or present this argument- but together we certainly can do this on his behalf if our voices are loud enough. 🎶❤️🔥 Keep writing and playing John. Your music continues to help & inspire so many; and as you grow so do your fans.
