I miss boys like girls but the night game has great music too. Martin is really growing up!!!

I was a big Boys Like Girls fans. Checked out The Night Game before filming this, their music is killer!

He's definitely matured. I always thought boys like girls were a bubble gum band trying capitalize on the pop punk emo phase in the late 00's.

Everyone came here for Kirin's rig. Great rundown though, dad.. Interesting on the opening tuning too..

The video title and thumbnail definitely implies that it's just a video featuring Martin. Hopefully we'll get a chance to film with Kirin in the future, unfortunately there was very little time to make this video happen.

Been listening to Night Game for a year now and just learned now that hes the vocalist for boys like girls???? THAT RANGE
@Hugo44016 жыл бұрын
Did by any chance did you guys asked his lead guitar player? I’ve been trying to figure out his rig for a while now 😅

Unfortunately, we were barely given enough time to film this video with Marin. :(

Main OD pedal is the metal zone by BOSS. He also uses a new Digitech Whammy, Boss CE-2, Boss DC-2, Super Shifter and stuff like that. Boss DD-20. Nothing crazy. Mainly all BOSS stomp boxes.

We did not unfortunately. Barely had enough time to film with Martin.

I wouldn't continue waiting for it. Martin is focusing on The Night Game at this point.

Does anybody else play guitar like that? Am I the only one who finds it incredibly lazy? Why bother playing at all?
@digitaltourbus6 жыл бұрын
Well, his main duties are as the band's vocalist. As he stated in the video, he wants to focus on his vocal and only plays rhythm. He is very self-aware in the video that what he's doing is to minimize how much he has to focus on playing.

Digital Tour Bus I get that but it feels like a cop out, why not practice more instead?
@digitaltourbus6 жыл бұрын
I don't think it has anything to do with lack of skill.

I feel like he’s kind of ignored a lot of the tonaholics, and does what makes sense for him and his shows. Like not changing strings for instance. Changing strings on a clean sound or acoustic could make a big difference but not here. You’ll hear if he’s out of tune, but with all the effects and compression he’s running you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between 2 day old and 2 month old strings. Plus he knows his role as rhythm, and he’s built his whole setup for it. I think it’s some very smart, independent thinking, and I love how he explains it all and doesn’t care what people think. Lol

He's a singer and knows his strength and weaknesses. He was never a noodler and his band seems bare and bones, maybe he will get more "sophisticated" once he gets more recognition?
