It is. very clever mix, I mean it's a respectful processing - a subtly softened version of Martin's "original" Gone. It's a raw analogue that exudes tension. How incredible that the original of Martin's 1989 song (by Comsat Angels) is only a few years earlier... - and what a difference!

Very nice!! You take your time and let Martin’s vocal provide the drama, while the synths tug at the heart strings. Excellent. I bought this album when I was 16. I was so excited, but it had highs and lows. ‘Gone’ was one of the highs.

Great Rmx! New baselines provide the song a real 80s synth atmosphere. In may view more deep compared to the version of Martin Gore's Counterfeit EP. By the way, the EP consisted of in total six cover songs. Originally "Gone" was published by The Comsat Angels, an English post-punk band active from late 70ies on. However, the Counterfeit EP has some more potential songs for more great Rmxs. Thanks a lot...🍾
