Is there any manual way of running these lights without having to link them to a dmx controller or laptop? Just want a slow programme and then fast when people dance

no, it does not work without dmx. Only some commands are accessible via the screen (rst, lamp ignition) as well as all the effects but for a fixed position and not for automatic movements.
