It's so much easier to clean these modules if you open them up like a book, you only have to disconnect a couple of the motors and limit switches.

That approach would work for skilled technicians familiar with how these modules are constructed, however I wouldn't recommend it to most techs searching for a quick fix to this error

@@PascoliniProductions I've found in the past people cleaning them the way shown in the video tend to miss bits and sometimes even push the residue into more awkward clumps, it also means that cracked rail mounts are easily missed.. I get what you are saying though, the modules can definitely be a little intimidating when you first open one. Plus you really need some bench space to open them which isn't always easy on a gig.

True, the rail mounts are fairly brittle and I definitely have broken them before. With the vipers getting into double digits in age that's probably gonna become more common. Maybe that's a video for another day
