Mooi stuk, vooral de heldere fluitjes is een lust voor het oor.

Martin stands out over other organists because his registration choices are defined to integrate but isolate the diferent parts of the piece he plays. It makes interesting listening.

Very impressive! Chapeau! I've chosen this piece as my personal "birthday song", because it's so full of energy and vitality. Too bad that there is no real "video" so that one could see Mr. Mans' hands during the final part. I guess, the fast tempo must have been hell, even if the instrument he played is not a tracker organ...

+WoodyofmC marcussen-son.dk/en/orgler/laurenskerk-%C2%B7-rotterdam-3/ that might help you, its a tracker, and manual stop action, so registrants are needed, you can watch Rondo In G with martin mans, you can see him play in that one.

+HOMeSKILiT24 Yes, I know, thanks... :-) My wording in the last sentence was a bit misleading indeed... What I wanted to say was the following: The fast tempo must have been hell (on this tracker organ, even with the Barker machine) and it would even been hell (well, at least for me) on a pneumatic or electric action one. -- Hope that sounds more meaningful. ;)

Whats a barker machine, I'v never head of that on a organ before? You must play the organ some? Iv toured a 3 manual tracker with many stops on its quite impressive the pressure difference vs 1 manual and a few stops. Watching all those keys move, adds to the drama I think.

+HOMeSKILiT24 A Barker machine, mostly called "Barker lever", is a pneumatic system on tracker organs used on couplers to overcome the multiplied force that is needed to press a key when couplers are active. Wikipedia hosts a small but straight-to-the-point article on it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barker_lever P.S.: The German version of the article contains a drawing to explain its working principle. Hope that helps. ;)

There is a video of him playing it on the organ of Saint Eustache but he plays the nave console which is not a tracker console therefore is easier to play on.

Geweldig fijne muziek Martin!
