I was at this show and am so glad someone captured a song from it! If I remember correctly, Martin and his wife had welcomed a baby the day before! Such an a amazing show.

Recently, at a music festival, I had the privilege of taking pics from the pit. Since I was already a big fan, this was just heaven.

I was just listening to this walking home and to my right I could see the last minutes of the sunset and the sky fading from orange to dark blue and the stars were already shining through billions of miles of space. Fucking magical. Pardon my language.

Marty told the story as an intro to the song in the late 90s in NYC. I knew the statue he was talking about, this painted alabaster piece, because I too went to Lourdes and remember just staring at it (mainly during the boredom of church) esp. the serpent crushed beneath her feet which made no sense to me but it was a compelling image.

in 3 weeks at the PARK WEST in Chicago, I hope Marty plays it just like this version. I have a few versions of this song by him and think this is the best I've heard My Maria in 10 years. just before the 4:30 mark it felt like he was playing a verse from Gerry Rafferty's BAKER STREET (you used to think it was so easy, but you're trying you're trying now, just one more year and you will be happy, but you're crying, you're crying now)....new album SUGARCOATING this week APRIL 6 !!

Martin has nothing to do with Zeppelin. He needs to float his own boat.

If playing acoustic guitar while soloing electric guitar WITH HIS MOUTH isn't original, then what is? OH and by the way he nailed the song with skill, feeling, and soul. I was entertained and inspired!!
