One year late but here goes: The Atkins diet is a form of… well, diet designed to help you loose weight. When Martin Short said he was doing Atkins it could mean he was trying to loose weight using this diet and considering they were talking about staying fit it made sense. But then he flipped it around and said he meant his widow i.e. he was ”doing Atkins” as in, having sex with the inventors old widow.
