I always thought this was the strongest and best of the 3 seasons, and was always bummed out that we never got to see the second half of Martins story told in a fourth season for the “Mossflower” book. I heard rumors forever ago that they got as far as story boarding and concept art in production before it was canceled, if it’s true i would love to see those if they turn up in a studio archive someday

This took me a couple viewings to notice. But after the gate closed on Clogg after seeing Scalrag, you hear him scream for a second before hitting the ground.

Martin abandoning his sword at the end makes no sense, since it creates a plot hole on how his sword will somehow end up in Redwall, when he dropped of at the end of the battle

Perhaps they thought of him getting a brand new one at Salamandastron instead of his original blade reforged?

@@999haunted I know that, I was guessing that they intended to do something different for the Mossflower cartoon adaptation.

Martin getting his father's sword back, the only thing he has left of his family, the only thing he has left of his whole life before becoming a slave, is such a huge part of his story. Replacing it with a new sword is just silly. Martin being put off by war, but returning to fighting when there's need and using his father's sword to do good is a good story. Him abandoning his father's sword and then replacing it with a new one for no reason is just poor storytelling. Overall, they did a good job adapting Martin the Warrior, but Martin abandoning his sword at the end was a major misstep on their part.
