He’s a top player and his loyalty is admirable I’d still take him. Lots of comments saying he had his chance to come to LFC which I can’t agree with, they do not understand the Basque mentality. Every Liverpool fan were delighted when a certain SG stayed loyal to us and decided against going 2 Chelski. Martin was just doing what SG did. Nothing wrong with him wanting to leave with the clubs blessing. I hope we sign him in January or next summer, would be a FANTASTIC signing 😀YNWA

The only concern is that if the lad is prepared to leave that rabble in Spain, will other big clubs come in for him. If he is as loyal as he appears to be, i think if he does leave, he will give us first option as he had already verbally agreed to come this summer past. I'd have the lad in a heartbeat as he is a quality player. I read comments yesterday about playing him in a double pivot with Gravenberch and yeah, that would work. I think if you do that though and move Macca to a No.10, you will lose the energy that Szoboslzai gives us in that forward area of the pitch now. If Zubimendi does come then it gives Slot the wanted headache of having 2 very decent options as the deep lying midfielder. Let's see what happens in the winter or next summer. I think we do need someone in the winter though but, if this signing is more realistic to be next summer, Liverpool being Liverpool will wait until the right player is available and just go with what we have until then.

I agree completely but I do hope LFC go for him on January, he might be more difficult to get on summer. The only thing that I would add is that Real Sociedad have treated this in a really bad way cause they are not letting the player grow professionally in ways he will not have the opportunity at Sociedad.

Players need to learn that there is no loyalty .. yeah great from Zubi But if the club decide they don’t want him he’s sold .. Or forced out .. Look at Man City and Chelsea selling decent academy players like palmer , mount, Gallagher etc just for PSR resolves ..

I don't think any move will happen mate. And i don't believe RS will give their blessings and the same problem will happen. It will make liverpool look bad.
