Martinair 747-Classic freighter...Once upon a time...

I decided to make a compilation of some video material I took when I was still hauling freight as a Flight Engineer in 2007. Those were the days!
I used the music from Balleka who's videos inspired me to make mine.

Heerlijke video. Zelf niet op de 747 gewerkt, maar op de DC10 van Martinair. Vracht natuurlijk, en tijdens de vlucht meestal te vinden in het stoeltje links achter de captain. Ruit van me kruin tot me heup. What a view! Brings back memories.

Prachtige video van één van de mooiste verkeersvliegtuigen ooit gemaakt. Mijn vader heeft jarenlang bij de KLM als grondschoolinstructeur (SPL/NG) gewerkt op de flight simulator van de 747 Classic. Als binkie van 9 mocht ik een paar keer mee naar zijn werk en heb diverse trainingssessies in de 747 simulator (de 'Nils Holgersson') meegemaakt en na afloop van de sessie mocht ik vaak zelf even 'vliegen' met mijn vader. (Voor zover dat kon, want ik kon amper met mijn voeten bij de rudderpedals) Sindsdien altijd een zwak voor dit type vliegtuig gehad. Daarnaast genieten van de MD-11's en zelfs een Northwest DC-10 in de achtergrond. Ik heb er van genoten, dank voor het uploaden!

@factoredin huh? They are not bankrupt or anything.. They just discarded the passenger division and fly cargo- only now. Also they don't have 747 classics anymore.
