Trying Karen Tribe (Long Neck People) Foods! In Chiang Mai, Thailand

I recently visited a Karen village located 50 km north of Chiang Mai in Maetaman, where I had the pleasure of meeting my friend Ma Nam and her mum. They were incredibly kind and cooked a traditional Karen meal for me, including minced pork wrapped in pumpkin leaves, traditional potato soup, and more. Ma Nam also shared her story with me, explaining how difficult life has been for them in Myanmar due to the dangerous situation back home. Sadly, Ma Nam didn’t have the privilege to go to school, so she can only read and write a little bit, but she really wants to learn.
