Great presentation Martin. I've been to the Beech Party and the Staggerwing Museum many times. It's a fabulous tribute to the Beech community and anyone who enjoys airplanes in general. I was a member of the Staggerwing Museum Foundation for several years starting way back in 1978 when the only thing there was the log cabin. It's so nice to see how it has evolved over the years. The 1st Staggerwing, the Travel Air Mystery ship and other priceless displays are so great to see. Thanks for posting this! Blue Skies

It was good to meet you there, Martin. That was our second time to bring the ol' v-tail. Don't forget to visit the nearby Jack Daniels distillery next time you're there.

Great place, thanks for the video Martin even got to see an old co-worker Klaus Markoff who was number one on the Fedex aircraft mechanics list until his retirement. Encourage everyone to put this place on your bucket list it's well worth the visit.

Hi Martin! Great job as always. I actually stopped here for fuel on my way back from Florida a few weeks ago. I spent about two hours in the museum and I was the only one there on a Wednesday afternoon. It was glorious. I will definitely make an effort to go to the Beech Party next year.

Hopefully I'll see you there next fall, Louis - or earlier on a Midwest BeechTalk lunch somewhere? - Martin

What a great event with my favorite airplane the Stagger Wing. When I lived in Thousand Oaks California the Starship would fly overhead on its way to Camarillo airport I could tell she is coming by the sound of the engines great to see her fly.

The silhouette of the Starship is so unique - add the nice sound to it, and yes, it's an experience! - Martin

WOW! Martin, you knocked it out of the park on this video. I never knew of the existence of this museum. It will definitely be on my Bucket list. Such a fabulous collection of vintage Beechcraft. And the displays were out of this world. Thanks so much for sharing this fine place to visit.

I was on a layover in HPN flying a Shorts 360 for Business Express Airlines and was able to get inside a Starship that was sitting on the ramp. It was quite impressive and I was it was still in production. I also saw a ramp full of recalled Starships at ICT years later. It was a very sad sight.

I was in Great Bend KS one day about the time of the Starship recall and one of the hangars had about 20 Starships inside. I asked the airport manager why so many? He knew but wouldn't say. Later I found out they were going to be destroyed. Indeed very sad.

I discovered this museum in an Instagram ad and I’m a week late for the beech party I wonder if one has as much fun as a normal visit or should I wait next year? I live in Atlanta GA is not too bad of a drive but damn it I’m so hurt I missed it 😩

Hi Oscar - I, too, missed the Beech Party this year (I had registered, but work got in the way). The museum is great any day of the year, but during the Beech Party you have the extra benefit of the knowledgable curators and tour guides ready to tell you stories about the exhibit and answer questions. - Martin

@@martinpauly Van Nuys. I mostly worked on the Hawker business Jets. But did do some Bonanza's and King Air's. My Favorite one to work on was the Premier 1a.
@HabuBeemer3 жыл бұрын
Sadly Textron would rather not support the Hawker series. They are a fine airplane. I've sold many airframe parts for most of the Beech aircraft including the Premier and the Starship.
