I'm not a fan for 3D style flying but this is a different level. More dynamic and not just a hovering display which gets very boring very quickly ! I wonder what sort of technical analysis is done on the airframe for this sort of flying, before and after ? Fatigue will surly be an issue after a series of similar flights, structural fails are a very real thing on big models being flown like this.

@@rcpilottony2338- 😁He was joking. Sarcasm. Irony. The joke is that anyone learning to fly RC planes starts out struggling to fly straight and level left-hand circuits. Nervous fingers and thumbs twitch frantically on the sticks, causing the plane to swoop and zoom all over the sky. So for a plane to be performing anything but smooth, level flight, there must be something wrong with it. Ha ha ha, lol, etc. We know that THIS pilot is a master of his craft. The humour comes from knowing that and pretending not to know it at the same time. But... this is KZbin. It has an international audience. Not many people have drollery as a first language, so sometimes it's hard to get away with wit without filling your Comment with emojis and long explanations. Explanations kill the joke, and I apologise for killing this one about dodgy control surfaces, which I found rather funny.

Finally pushed me over the edge. Although impressive finger skills, that is not what drew me to RC flying decades ago, nor within the average Joe's budget for the startup costs or inevitable wrecks. Sorry, but that is just my reaction to the loss of appreciation for realistic flight and knee knocking moments of a maiden flight on an 60 size Extra that took a winter to build and cover to perfection for the local field with friends. Yes lol, I am a Boomer.
@AlexMacKenzie-n9r2 күн бұрын
When i was learning to fly a good friend told me punch holes in the sky and you will punch holes in the ground, but you have to give the pilot credit risking a model that cost a lot of money see it is dubai he can probrably afford it much respect

@Frank-uq1wl2 күн бұрын
Nothing special. Just a light jet with vector and high rate aileron. The rest is some gyro and a lot of pilot skills. 🤷 But be careful with ultra hard 3d flying. It will bore the crowd fast after first fascination, if no one can follow how it's flown. If you won't believe ask the heli guys, they know it.
@sideshowbob52372 күн бұрын
Another big and flimsy rc model. We saw about 20 design cases right there. Accelerometer readings for all of them run through a finite element stress analysis of the model? With a safety factor of course. Structural test on wings, fins and elevators. Or just fly it a few times and see if anything breaks. Then sell as many models as possible for anyone to assemble and fly at public airshows. Sooner or later there will be a price to pay and ordinary rc flyers will share the cost.

@@johnbittner620 Well no-one disputes the skill - and no-one, including the manufacturer I'm pretty sure, knows whether it has a safety factor over and above what it might see in use - many times. KZbin is littered with wings breaking in mid air, tails coming off, fuselages breaking at the back of the cockpit. What is the difference between those models and this and where is the assurance that it's better. Cowboy safety.

@Martin Pickering Did you change the title of the video? Just my opinion but 3D flying does nothing for me and the current trend of Fugly aircraft flying is like watching paint dry. Flying with zero mechanical sympathy, those engine bearings are going to fail prematurely for sure. And as for airframe fatigue life….it’s gone. I was just waiting for the inflight breakup or crash 😢
