From a DJ's perspective, I was able to figure out just a small percentage of what was going on. I knew that you must be cueing, just didn't understand how. And the MIDI Fighter, it all made sense. This was extremely helpful and informative. Thank you so much for explaining your workflow, and for opening Pandora's box.

Hello there. Thanks for the video. It makes me want to choose a few instruments and actually make some music with them rather than endlessly fiddling about. I admire the way you’re finishing tracks and albums off. I’m listening on Bandcamp now as I write. Sounds great 👍
@MartinStuertzer3 жыл бұрын
The monthly schedule to prepare a liveset helps a lot to do this! I released music before but in the last two years it became much easier for me.

@@MartinStuertzer Ha! There's some hope for me then. :) I just need to work out how I'd play a live set. My current room is so messy I can't even go in it without treading on something. I am truly in awe at how you have organised your instruments. It must have taken a lot of thought and hard work but was obviously worth the effort. Very inspiring. Thanks.

Another great video. I really admire you. You are a huge inspiration for me. About field-recordings: Do you tune them so they stay in tune with the keynote - and if yes - how do you do this? Listen by ear or do you use a plug-in?

Hi Martin! I completely don't understand how did you manage to split digitakt channels and made them play separately. I try to make it in the same way, but still have kick coming from "main" channel and from dedicated kick channel. Could you please show in detail how to setup the digitakt like you did?

Very informative and useful, thanks! Is the Fixed Length feature only available via Push, or is there a way to do it directly in Ableton as well?

You can use the Ableton Looper or there is an M4L device here: maxforlive.com/library/device/6423/fixed-length-recording

This function is not directly accessable without Push or a workaround. I don´t understand why, it should be easy to add a menue item for that.

Hmm, thank you again...Maestro. How do you ensure replayability? Do you have notes? Sheets of music?
@MartinStuertzer3 жыл бұрын
Replayability is zero in this case! Sometimes I enjoy the idea to improvise and have the result only with the audio recording.

@paulnelson52043 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin, Are you connecting the audio outs of your synths and Digitakt to a small mixer, or taking your interface, when you perform live, and mixing inside Ableton?
@MartinStuertzer3 жыл бұрын
In this case I used Overbridge, which is a audio / midi transfer through USB by Elektron. Usually I connect all my stuff directly to the Interface and mix inside Ableton. It helps to avoid noise in the signal chain and offers the highest flexibility with EQs and effects.
@fruchticaramelos90133 жыл бұрын
Hey, kannst du den Rev2 für komplexe Pads empfehlen, falls nicht, was meinst du fehlt dem Synth hierfür? Ich weiß, dass auch vieles in der DAW möglich ist, aber jetzt mal ganz weit abgesehen davon.
@MartinStuertzer3 жыл бұрын

Hi! What is master clock in your setup? Ableton live? Do you have any clock issues when using with digitakt?

Yes, it was Ableton. The Digitakt took the clock well through Overbridge. Every few hours the connection brakes down but I was lucky.

great! which oscillator do you use on braids for the dub chords?

It is mode Nr. 8 if you start on the "left" with CSAW. It is the triple Saw mode and I tuned the three notes to a minor chord with the "timbre" and "color" knobs.
