Season 3 was a game changer for 24. Tony being arrested, Kim, Chase, Michelle and Jack all leaving CTU. Palmer deciding not to seek another term was the main reason because it brought Charles Logan into the equation and his actions had massive fallout that lasted for the rest of the series. Jack moving to DC where he met Audrey (a tragic love) was something that would lead to more trauma for him and eventually cause his estrangement from Kim. We didn't know it then but now when you watch this finale scene of Day 3 you can feel the big changes that take hold from the following season.

To be honest the beginning of season 3 is not my cup of tea. I think it really takes off around episode 15 at the hotel with Michelle, Jack is ordered to kill Chapelle and they are closing in on Saunders. When I first saw it it blew my mind. Chapelle's not exactly the most likable character but boy his death is probably one of the most powerful in the series.

Callery's use David Palmer and Jack Bauer's themes (3:28 - 5:31) was a brilliant way to close out Season 3.
