I got married in Vegas in 1992 and saw their act at Vegas World. They had me and my wife come on stage and he was dressed like a lady. He grinder his butt at me, I never laughed so hard along with the audience. Then we talked to him and his wife for awhile at dinner the next day. Will always be a great memory. You won't find 2 nicer and down to Earth people. Happy 90th Marty, love ya!

We saw them on a cruise, where they performed. We did not know what to expect. We remembered Marty from all his TV appearances. They completely blew us away. Karon is a great performer and Marty is extremely funny. They got a standing ovation. See them if you get a chance. You will be glad you did.

I remember Marty used to visit with Vietnam casualties at great lakes naval hospital. He came often and would spend most of the day, play cards, tell jokes etc. He spread a lot of joy where it was desperately needed. What a wonderful man!

Marty Allen is one of the best comedians ever! I watched Marty with Steve Rossi many times when they were in Marty's home town of Pittsburgh. Fabulous shows at the Holiday House! Marty, I love you! Keep rocking with Karon. You're the best!

Many years ago when I was a little boy, my mother took my little brother and me to see the team of Allen and Rossi on the famous Steel Pier in Atlantic City, NJ, where I grew up. After the show, we spotted Marty by one of the concession stands on the pier and my mother let us go up to him to yell "Hello Dere!" He bought us each an ice cream cone! What a wonderfully nice man and he's still funny as ever even as he enters his 90s. You know, when you yourself suddenly find yourself in that "fifth plateau" of life and realize time has gone by, it's so good to know that people like Marty Allen, Stan Lee, Toney Bennett and a few others, are STILL OUT THERE doing what they've done best all these years. Thanks so very much for sharing this--this is a great team.

You were so lucky that your mother allowed you two to approach Marty. My parents most certainly would have said "No." That he bought you both and ice cream cone shows how generous and warm he could be. The ice cream probably didn't cost that much, but what a beautiful gesture. Marty wasn't the least bit stuck up as so many other celebrities were and are.

It looks like poor Marty is walking around in a daze while his wife sings, dances and MC's.....but he is 93!
@jrnfw4060 Жыл бұрын
I think the daze thing was part of the act. He was still quite cognizant at that advanced age. He would pull tricks on her during some of those shows. Surprise, surprise!

This woman is one of the most remarkably sexy 72 year-olds I have ever seen. It's almost impossible that she looks as good as she does. She looks 20 years younger than she is.

He's gonna be 93 soon in 2014 but still looks like an unhealthy specimen even today! I remember him playing a jinxed Jonah on The Big Valley in the 60's & he did a surprisingly excellent job. He's definitely been blessed.

Never knew Marty had a big bald spot
@jrnfw4060 Жыл бұрын
He was in his 90s. Hair had thinned considerably. This is natural for many older men. It's more or less expected. At least he was keeping it natural -- not trying to fake it with a toupee or a wig. I would have been disappointed if he had. Too many older celebrities try to do that instead of just being themselves and being honest about their physical changes at various stages in their lives. Marty was a breath of fresh air when it came to that sort of thing. One of several reasons we love him so.

@@jrnfw4060 Absolutely! Marty Allen and Karon Kate Blackwell had a wonderful show built upon decades of Marty Allens history and Karons voice. They became friends when they were frequent guest entertainers on a cruise line I worked for, and I can personally attest to the fact that their show was very entertaining and popular among the passengers.

This video was a great disappointment! The title of this video reads... Marty Allen, which I'm a huge fan. However, 98% of this video was all about a Vegas/lounge singer performing on stage. Unfortunately, 10% of this video were snippets of Marty, which I loved. Wow! Talk about an opportunist taking advantage of a legend like Marty Allen. If this singer was trying to fill in for Rossi. I have to say, "Bad Shot sister!" This was such a sad production, bad editing and a crying shame. This singer, although a good vocalist looked really eager to have her 60 minutes of fame. So pathetic.

The Industrial Bitch That's Marty's wife. They frequently perform together and do cabaret acts in vegas/cruise ships.
@Gibson37509 жыл бұрын
Chris Johnson Wife or not! You could not avoid the fact, that this video was bias/one-sided and pretentious in favor of the singer. Perhaps their live performances might be equally shared, although this video contradicts that. Note: When you dare to advertise a legends name, fans expect to see the head liner as advertised. And usually, the headliner name takes the majority of the stage/show. However, this video failed to display that. That's is why I was disappointed. I feel I can speak for the consensus for all Marty Allen fans who would want to see more of Marty. That's why I clicked on the video. in short! This is false advertising.
@jrnfw40609 ай бұрын
@@Gibson3750 I don't think Marty would have minded, at all. He LOVED having her as his "straight lady", and working with her. Hey, there was plenty of entertainment from both of them. Thank God she was there for him!

I agree, although the way this was advertised was not what I got.
