Just as there was only one Elvis Presley, one Chet Atkins, one Jerry Reed and one Roger Miller there was only one Marty Robbins....simply the best of the best. Ronnie Robbins sounds just like Marty. Frankly I wouldn't give a nickel to go see any current country acts on the scene today.

My mother got to see Marty back in the early 80s . She said the audience requested songs for about an hour and he sang every one of them. The next act who I will not mention would not take any request performed maybe 45min. This is what a class act Marty Robbins was sad sad day when we lost him

Country singers dont sing these 1 stanza song request anymore...indeed they are a bit corny but so so golden treasures...simply superb...even the rotating duet melodies that Marty did with all his singing guests hasnt been done since the 1980s either among current singers
