Great to see Martyn out on the trails. That bike is way to front heavy, easy to lean forward to gain a front bias but not easy to lean back to get the rear down. Looks like Martyn is almost fully seated on the front half. Extending the wheel base might help or getting a heavier rear wheel/convert to a hub motor vs the external drive.
@stefanbogner62373 жыл бұрын
That‘s what I thought. Put weight to the back. Extending the wheel base might make it to long for tight corners. Wait, I got it: sit Martin backwards with a mirror. 😂

Wow! Amazing skills and attitude. Just 2 weeks ago, I was on my bike CLIMBING, and rather than trying to change gears mid climb I tried to just stand and power through. My back went POP and I couldn't move, stand, sit, ANYTHING without excruciating pain. Went to the hospital and I herniated a disc so badly I caused a condition called CES where my disc was compressing a bunch of nerves and they almost had to preform emergency surgery or I may have lost permanent function of my legs and bowel/bladder. I got lucky and my body was reabsorbing this disc fast enough they didn't need to free up those nerve endings. But it absolutely shocked me how EASY it is to land yourself in a wheelchair. Like I didn't even fall, I was just on a simple climb on a blue run. MAD props to Marten for being such a positive and wonderful influence to the entire mtbing community.

@TimInertiatic3 жыл бұрын
It seems to the recurring issue with the various bikes. Weight is fixed, so weight transfer is very basically none existent. Making it longer may help but potentially make more practical problems. May not be enough mass in the rear tyre to rev it like a Moto to balance in the sir. Sling the batteries behind the rear axle? Either way, it looks great fun
@darienclose50633 жыл бұрын
@@TimInertiatic moving the batteries could work, the suspension for the back wheel makes it kind of difficult to move the seating position further back, but maybe with a twin spring setup you could set back more, the nose dives were absolutely terrifying. would always want more squat than dive, you cannot easily recover from dives but you can slide out of a backwards spin

My thoughts are it's going to need a redesign with 4 wheels with the rider weight between rear wheels to make the front float if you want to jump safely. This is RadAF. He continues to rip. I suspect a few more rides and it'll be full send 24/7. Yes, steady, high throttle off the face then pinning the throttle while airborne should drop the rear. Steady high throttle results in lifting the front off the face. Chopping throttle on the face and/or tapping rear brake lifts the rear & drops the front. It's a common technique in MX & SX to control pitch while airborne.
