Ali Akbar was the son of Imam Hussain and the first of the Banu Hashim to sacrifice his life to defend the message of his grandfather, Prophet Muhammad (sawa). It was particularly difficult on the whole family as Ali Akbar was a reflection of the Holy Prophet of God in his looks, manners and logic. He fought valiantly until he was martyred on Ashura, the 10th of Muharram in Karbala.
