My Honda trx350 foreman 4 wheeler was blowing a lot of smoke so I stripped it down and found a badly scored bore and worn stem seals. Thought I'd make a vid for anyone looking to fix their smokey motor. The process is similar with most small air cooled 4 strokes.
Took about 6 hours to do the work and cost around $140 for parts, fairly simple job for anyone with a good tool kit and mechanical skills.

Great stuff, Marty, but I prefer your vids when you’re talking. From your descriptions to your wit to your accent (I live in Iowa...,) your narration adds much. Aside, you are amazing.

It has always amazed me the expense and effort people put into repairs and skip test and checks. Then forget wrist pin retainer. Then his loss and your gain. The valve stem seals he reused made me laugh out loud. Great vid.

I did this on a 125 Honda when my Dad died leaving it to me when I was 15 in 1975. No doubt I made lots of mistakes but it worked well. I hammered the poor bike in the bush and beaches. So I had to rebuild the 125 about every year 10yrs until I could afford bigger bikes. But never found better bikes. They are still making those machines.

Great video! I was waiting to see how you compressed the rings to get them into the jug, but all of a sudden it was done. Magic! LOL! Maybe next time..... Thanks Marty!

The jug is tapered so the rings just compress as you slide it down over the piston.

You are obviously a very skilled mechanic. I find it oddly satisfying to see you do everything needed without the 20 minute explanation I don't need. BUT, I would like a little more personality to your vids. Loved the HGV recovery, you have a new sub for sure. Also love the Rams LOL so good. Just give us a little more YOU. Who are you? Where are you? (New Zealand of course) but that adds to the intrigue... Just give Us a little more about who we are watching and this may explode! Total PROPS!!!

Hey, that looks like it's relatively simple to work on. I had a Suzuki King Quad 300, which went fine, but it developed a loud whine in 3rd gear. The dealer said it was a 2 day job to get the engine out, and from what I saw, it looked like it. So it got sold as is - got what I paid for it, ($1800), as the repair bill was just nuts. Great little quad, though not popular with some people because af the swing axles at the rear.

Great quad the TRX350, I've got the FM 4x4 version, keep the engine oil & filter changes at 100hr intervals as the oil runs in the gearbox & clutch as well. I'd fit new tyres as they are a safety issue, you don't want to be slipping & sliding especially in hilly country with a 2wd only.
