Well I’m sure none of us will be very surprised when you find an asphalt mixing plant in the undergrowth and repair it . Then a sweet compactor in a ditch somewhere and that entire driveway is two lane highway soon. I use to work as a Boy Labour on the motorways in 1974 and I worked with a machine pretty much like this one (the only difference was the rear axels hydraulically steered too so you could actually "crab" as well very handy and those tight corners were not such a challenge ) we would be making up a four or a six-lane road so the operators were masters of the trade. My example was that they got so good I watched them take a box of matches set it down on the road and lay a penny on top of the box and could grade it off just by looking .you brought back some good memories today thanks. all you need now is a vibrating roller for the back of the dozer and you are set

You'll want to get rid of those berms piled up on the sides so the water can run off the road surface as quickly as possible. Otherwise it starts to make ditches that trap the water and create erosion damage. At least, that's what happens on our 12 miles of mountain road when it rains hard.
@arkansas13363 жыл бұрын
@E3ECO --- So true, NEVER, Never, never leave a berm on the side of a road. All you do is create a ditch up on the roadway. Spread the dirt in the road, building it up or creating a crown.
@KG-yn9qi3 жыл бұрын
Sir, when cutting your ditch... you can use the toe or the heel to cut it. Depending on wher you want your wind row.. and to which side the ditch is being cut...You tilit the mow board back... if use the toe and the ditch is on your right... you want the wind row to the left.. then turn the blade counter clock ways with toe just be hind the front wheel lean the front wheels to the left. Drop bring your toe down to cut. Now drop heel down to move the material to left. Depending on how much you lower the heel you can put wind row between rear wheels or just out side the left wheels. Do not drive on the wind row with wheels... the more you keep the blade under center of machine the more power and better cutting you have.... hard to type all this out! Wish could be there to walk along and guide you / show you. Is a lot to it but after understand what's happening. It gets easy to set up the machine.

Morning Mister, I seem to recall a bloke doing some work with a 360 machine a while back encountering some rather disagreeable insects that objected to this bloke smashing their domicile up while improving his driveway, they showed their disapproval at his interference with much gnashing of teeth, swearing and violence. It occurs to me that operating that grader close in to the bushes and bank, you might meet-up with some of their relatives and engender many of those feelings of resentment that were so vehemently displayed in the previous encounter. Just a thought mate, no cab glass and a difficult emergency egress might make for an interesting though ultimately painful reacquaintance. Like I say, “just a thought”.
