In my humble opinion - nerf queens. That’s the best way to stop this Zerg whitewash. The queen is sooo OP, they counter literally everything early game and with their transfuse they are immortal. All the Zerg player has to do to counter ANY early game pressure is build a few queens which ALSO spread creep. You know they’re OP when a group of hellions and a reaper are too scared to go toe-to-toe with what essentially should be a base nanny unit (34:55)

The main problem is, T pro players are kinda trash when compared to the best Terrans we had in 2016-17(Like Taeja at its prime). Look at game 2 for example, Zerg used a team comp that has not been changed in YEARS and still crushed Maru like if it was a Master player vs Diamond, on game 1 winfestors were not used, just Hydras that have finally become viable. Where are the drops in 2 bases while doing a hellion run by on the third? Or the 2 liberators harassment in 2 bases while dropping in the main? Pro Terran player quality went down the sink, I hardly get to see games that remind me of the good old times and is not due to the balance, is more due to the quality of this T players.

@Jesus Rosendo Serral just lost to Raynor though lol But it is really weird the way they balance the game, you can see that Koreans are usually beast at micro and tend to have the stronger Protosses and Terrans. Foreigners (Europeans I mean) only ever had chance with Zerg. IdrA, Stephano, Scarlett, Serral and now Raynor, all the foreigners that matter at all (that can fight Koreans) are Zerg. Is a really weird tendency, and Blizzard always tended to favor Zerg in the balance, so... I think the even weirder thing is that foreigners only have a chance with macro, that the micro still is really bad and no Protoss or Terran here can compare to the Koreans. Wouldn't it make more sense for "worse players" to be better at "cheese", aka faster, more micro intensive early game. This game just doesn't make any sense really.

I know this is useless but, Blizzard do not balance the whole game over the top 100 players, the game is amazigly balanced, enough that even with a 1000 games played you would not be able to know if imba or variance. One explanation: Zerg is harder to master/play but once you do it's better than the others. Starcraft is a competitive game solely based on skills stop trying to buff lack of it.

Blizzard should feel shameful that they made the game so imbalanced going into the WCS global finals... It's supposed to be the most exciting series possible probably except Maru vs. Serral, but it just ended quickly as expected.. The margin of error for Terrans is so small now, but the zergs are allowed to make all kinds of mistakes... My impression is that even if Maru were to play a perfect game, he would still lose... only 9000 views of this video.. GG starcraft... good luck we will still have sc3...

To make zerg more balanced a few things they could do could be: - Overlords have less vision and speed upgrade back to 100 gas - Queens gain energy slower - Only add smaller maps to the pool - Less larva allowed per hatch, force out more proxy hactches and more apm on injects. Harder for zerg to remax too. - Short cool down to Queens transfuse. I personally think this would help balance zerg, What are your opinions?

Fun stuff indeed. He makes it before the drop is picked up! After looking at it a few times I see he spots both bio balls in time then when maru combines them he knows it is a pool snipe. The extra pool is early enough to have a good amount of hp and breaks maru's flow. Insanely wp.

I think the patch after blizzcon says something: Broodling leash range decreased from 12 to 9 Removed the Infested Terran ability. Neural Parasite range decreased from 9 to 8. Nydus Worm cost increased from 50/50 to 75/75. Summon Nydus Worm ability cooldown increased from 0 to 14. Nydus Network and Nydus Worm initial unload delay increased from 0.18 to 0.36. Nydus Network and Nydus Worm load period increased from 0.09 to 0.18. Nydus Network and Nydus Worm unload period increased from 0.18 to 0.36.

Terran was op in sc2 beta and for a couple months after wings of liberty launched because the developer team had NO CLUE what they were doing. Then they hit terran with nerfs that basically took thors, reapers, bcs out of the game which plummeled terran winrates way below 50% and called it balanced. There where a couple spikes of winrates for terran over the years where the dev team again screwed up, like with the introduction of the insanely overpowered cyclones before those were nerfed too. Terran was never in a balanced state.

I can't believe all of these people are complaining about balance when the skill difference is so obvious. Dark is the best player in the world right now and Maru is like what 20th? 10th? Maru failed to build a good counter to the mass ling hydra bane in the first game and just wasted all his tanks in trades. He got completely surprised by the tech change in the second game which will kill you in any matchup. Then in the final game in normal dark fashion he does an all in that killed Maru because he rushed a tier 3 capital ship to harass and then immediately followed up with wasting more units on a tank push, and failed to react quickly enough to two nydus building one after the other in his own main base. I don't know what balance you could make to change this. You people are taking sample sizes of literally 4-8 people once a year and then saying balance needs to change.

Chess are slow phase while rts games is fast phase. Chess master dont need fast reflex while rts game need reflex to match high apm of your enemy that why esport player reflex skill and fast hand deteriorate because of aging and resign from being pro player mid 20s while chess master dont cause u only need experience and tons of knowledge and strategy and u see a lot of old chess master still compete. Except fighting game since those game is less punishable of for fast reflex but need to compensate by predicting your opponent move.

Maru didn't play that bad. He stopped almost all the nyduses. The difference came when armies were traded zerg can instant remax and Terran can't. If rebuilding was equal speed, it would be very different games

Just reduce baneling splash dmg to have 33% dmg and 66% dmg zones instead of just 100% for the entire 2.2 radius. Banelings are basically mininukes vs light units.

infestors is not the problem. Problem is low cost unit liker zerklings, dealing more damage than unit that cost 2x more.. Its totally broken. Just an example. Hatchery 300 crystalls. vs 400 for the other, yet zerg has dobble the damage, higher range with hydra and baneling bust does more damage than any other AoE units in the game.

The design of Zerg was always to be ahead on bases and drones because of the open mineral lines, buildings costing drones and larvae as a additional resource limiting drones and units. So a lower cost Hatchery makes sense in that regard. But Zerg is capable of playing on low economy right now which was never intended
