i own a i20 and have driven last gen Dzire , the quality of materials used is huge , apart from reliable engine and transmission, MS has cost optimization on everything else, some people will just buy this for MS brand and sunroof instead of new Amaze

Suzuki guys have understood our roads...no great highways I.e.with our discipline in driving on our 6 track roads...swaying from track to track b' cos not even 1% follow the speed lanes ... If you would have seen that, then you won’t be commenting like this. Remove the stereotypical thought of 0 star with Maruti, they are not like that anymore.

1.2 kappa can go easily up to 150 without any struggle but new dzire is struggling to cross 120 itself bcoz of 3 cyl...nd i noticed aura can go straight and pass biggg speed breakers but dzire drivers always prefer to crossy and new gen dzire is even lesser in ground clearance(163mm)

Nice review as usual. This Dzire will change the face of Maruti's Arena lineup and would be the best vfm sub 4 meter vehicle for family oriented buyers. But still, Maruti had this "Manda mela irrundha kondaya marandhuten" moment in a couple of areas, 1. Gave almost all the required features for 2024-25 except for a driver's armrest. 2. Maruti's classic stalks on the driver's instrumentation are ridiculously outdated as I am seeing that since the days of 800 AC. But the overall improvements have actually outweighed these downsides along with the other pointers that Asir anna has mentioned.

If you want Diesel, then Altroz. If you want Petrol, then Dzire.

If you are going for automatic go for dzire. If you are going to buy manual go for altroz diesel. Diesel manuals are easy to drive because of great low end torque. Petrol engines will not have proper low end torque so driving a manual dzire inside the city won't be easy.

As far as I concern.. Z series engine is a huge compromise for a naturally aspiratedEngine for Maruti’s Market share.. They could have kept the K series at bay for Naturally aspirated and kept this Z series for their series hybrid set up and for performance they could have introduced RS with booster jet.. 1.2 Kseries MT and AGS/AMT 1.2 Z series e-CVT 1.0 Boosterjet MT and 6speed AT Scrap the Ciaz and go full flow with the compact Sedan..

Moreover amaze is also coming with the next gen upgrade u have to wait for the changes .. As said above test drive the dzire and wait for Honda amaze and decide. But I personally don't recommend amt to any one. If ur budget premise you can check the brezza vxi AT, Hyundai i20 CVT, Citroen C3 AT
