They are very light well so safety is also on light side But gen 2 is very good stylish interior with bulky look build quality is not bad as swift 3rd gen If u are thinking of power punching car with tight budget then buy 1st gen

First Generation Swift did come with a K12M engine from April 2010 when the BS4 norms kicked in. It was the same engine as in the Ritz of the era. The 2011 Gen2 Swift got the upgraded K12B with variable valve timing which was missing in the K12M. The first gen K12 was marvelously refined though, compared to the G13B, though slightly less lusty. Still brings a smile to my face after 12.5 years. Right mix of power, fuel efficiency, reliability and refinement. The current K12C though refined is not as punchy as the first gen.

Actually 2nd gen swift also came with K12M but with VVT. Non VVT k12m was better in initial punch

K12B was for international 2nd gen swift. K12M is only for india just destroked version of K12B due to bs4 emission norms and 1.2Litre limit. Both of them uses same engine block.

The fuel tank capacity is 43 litres. On highway I get around 16 kmpl and in city 13 kmpl.

Mine is a petrol variant , which is presently giving a mileage of 10kmpl while diesel can give about 2 to 3 kmph more ,mileage depends on the way the vehicle has been maintained over the years , but generally you can't expect much of mileage from older vehicles.

Yes, it is normal mileage ,but in highways you can expect 1 to 2kmpl more. Actually the mileage depends on the way we maintain the vehicle, the way we drive as well, like generally if you are a Sedate driver then you can expect good mileage as you are receiving now ,on the contrary if you are a spirited driver then you would receive less mileage.

Yes,There are ways to increase the mileage through modification like the installation of CNG or LPG kit in the vehicle, The installation of cng kit would cost you somewhere between 30 to 40 Thousand Rupees , which may vary depending on the make. The cost of 1kg cng is 65Rs as of today ,which is equivalent to 1.5 ltr petrol ,so Assuming that on an average , if 1 kg of CNG which costs Rs.65 will give a mileage of anywhere between 25-30 kms per kg depending on factors say engine capacity, vehicle condition and driving conditions . Therefore, CNG of one litre's petrol price will give a mileage of 35 kms (taking an average mileage of 27.50 kms per kg in CNG).but the only issue with the cng or LPG is that the kit would completely occupy your boot space.

It is a 1.3 ltr 4 cylinder engine , it is known as g series engine , it was produced until 2011, k series was launched at end of 2011, The K series engine is used in 2 nd generation swift. The car in the video is the 1st generation face lift version.
