I'm torn. My favorite forward throw is uchimata and I want to support Maruyama so he can have the opportunity to make the Olympics, but I'm also a fan of double sleeve w/ sode and osoto gari, and you can't deny the appeal of the Abe siblings both competing at consecutive Olympics and both of them winning.

That is going to be a brutal final for him. Abe watched that and smelled blood. Abe will either win it easily or Maruyama will get so defensive and shido out. That's where my money goes. I'd love to see him win it but also just can't see it.

Hard to bet against Abe, but hoping Maruyama can take the red back patch once again. I feel if he can get the fight to the floor and stays active, he can get the osaekomi, even if it's not something we see from him a lot, Abe's newaza is terrible.

Lol, love the fact that he falls over the big commentator mispronouncing the japanese players name, but he completely disregards that he doesn't know the name of the big commentator who used to be a world champion himself haha :D

Well, the commentator who made the mistake is Dennis van der Geest. He fought at the highest level and has been World Champion himself. You can be sure he knows both of the Abe siblings. So just a slip of the tongue most probably.
