Pretty sure that's Unreal 5,.that's why it's also being shown by on the Unreal event. Some of that WAS gameplay or at least in-engine cutscenes with it, you can still tell what's out of engine and what isn't if you have an eye for it.

Yeah this was basically how Cap's first meeting with Azzuri the Black Panther of WW2 went complete with T'Challa's grandfather telling Steve that technically the shield doesn't belong to him due to the fact that it's made from Vibranium that somehow the American government snuck out of Wakanda and in the eyes of Azzuri that is basically the American government stealing a valuable mineral resource that belongs to Wakanda and it's people that he didn't give the American government permission to have.

For context, this game is Amy Hennings game, the creator of Uncharted when she used to work at Naughty Dog. And it shows as the story is very Uncharted like. Its also a Single Player game with 4 playable characters being developed on Unreal Engine 5 running in real time. Platforms are assumed to be PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.

This already feels like such a refreshing take and perspective for Marvel centric media. Marvel has an entire sandbox of characters and settings they can play with. But the content has gotten trapped in a boring formulaic rut. There are so many fantastic circumstances Marvel characters can be put in, which can give rise to even more fantastic stories. So to see this game with its obvious, yet imo genius plot and setting puts a smile on my face, and excitement in my heart. Hopefully they don’t drop the ball gameplay wise.

@@arthurdunn4594 I do. But, apparently, neither you nor the person I replied to do. Since I have to explain it to the both of you: a rut is what you get by the repeated passage of wheels. The repeated passage of the wheels (or even feet) creates a depression in the ground. The softer the terrain and the more passages that happen, the deeper the rut. The deeper the rut, the harder it becomes to get out. Having two heroes be antigonistic towards each other when they first meet has been used many times. It has become a trope of storytelling. A trope is the writing equavalent of a rut. Comic books using that trope are in fact in a "formulaic rut". Unless, of course, the two of you are using the word "rut" in the meaning of the time of the year that deer breed. But, I highly doubt that Capt America and Black Panther would be battling over someone whom they wish to "mate". So, yes, the story is a "rut" and not "genius" as it has been done over and over.

@@TotallyOgArtist That's actually a fair point, though. Formulaic can also be applied to plot, not only setting and characters. Cap and Black Panther are shown here butting heads because their missions keep putting them in each other's way and it's implied that they'll fight at some point. But because Hydra is teased to be the real villains it'd be extremely predictable if they decide to set aside their differences to fight them. This isn't anything new and we've seen it already with the MCU. If anything, it's a reskin of the plot of Batman v Superman if it plays out that way.

If they can combine a more polished and fixed version of the Captain America super soldier gameplay for caps’ story line along with a stealthy yet agile gameplay for Black Panther. Then this game would be awesome. And I’m glad Khary Payton is doing mocap face modeling AND voice for the black panther, he voiced cyborg in teen titans, wasabi in big hero six, and even played the awesome Ezekiel in The Walking dead despite the show’s digressing quality. @@matej_erba Given Amy Hennig’s track record, I’m sure it’ll be good, but in engine or not, we still have no idea what the gameplay is like. We only know what the characters & environments look like. Just because they show cut scenes that are in engine, it still doesn’t tell us anything about the gameplay.

Am the only one that thinks that besides two randos as our 3rd and 4th characters that we should get Wolverine and bucky. Wolverine would be sick and could use it as a way to see how the public responds to Wolverine in a game to prepare for his actual game. Bucky would be cool as he could be more ranged, like if he used a gun and is very well known. Bucky could also work as the spy character instead of Nanali.
