Part of the reasons why I love TMNT and, probably a bit controversial, Meg 2, is that I don’t feel like I was taking some kind of lesson in the theater. Filmmakers nowadays seem to mistaken making “meaningful” movies with making movies that “preach.” I don’t mind having some deep philosophical discussions with others but I don’t expect to spend 15+ bucks to be preached EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I'm the same way with the movie 'The Meteor Man (1993)'. I LOVE that movie!!! It's one of my all time favorites with a GREAT cast. It's a Black man with Superman-like powers but they made the movie VERY original and made it their own without taking from something else. I recommend it.

According to Oxford dictionary, a superhero is "a benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers, such as Superman." So... Batman is not technically a superhero I guess, unless you want to get into whether or not his gadgets and abilities can be considered as 'superhuman powers'.

I have not watched a newer MCU movie since Thor Love and Thunder.. after black widow, and eternals with shang chi and SM no way home as little saving graces (yes SM was great), thor really just broke it for me... havent spent a dime on a marvel movie in the theaters
