I think his powers are a bit of a double edged sword when it comes to planetary levels as he needs oxygen to not only create flames but to breath. So if he burns of all the oxygen around him he himself would die.

@@codywilson1069 Agreed but the Human Torch's flames are created psionicly(pyrokinesis) and not chemically and needs oxygen to burn. It's also the reason he can't fly into outer space (no oxygen to feed his flames).

There were four things he did that I found unexpected but reasonable in context: 1. He froze a room by absorbing all the heat in it. 2. He -by himself- took out Ultron and left a big crater in the floor and left Cap at the edge of the crater behind his shield (NEVER grab something that views that as an excuse to blast you. In one issue, he took out all the aliens impersonating the X-men after “Colossus” grabbed him. His “do not kill” only applies to earth humans...) 3. He used infrared vision to determine there were people inside robot things. 4. Once early in his career a soaking wet Storm used his power for strength.odd.....🧐

I wish they would release What If stories called "Marvel Unleashed". Little one shot comics where Heroes or Villains go ALL OUT and hold no punches. They use their maximum capabilities. These heroes/villains could either die or kill enemies and allies, but I want to see the pure destruction that a lot of second stringer characters can unleash.

Johnny Storm is more powerful than he, and most people, realize. When you think about it, he could snuff out a star or reignite one. Since he can absorb heat, he could, in theory, do some of the extreme things that Iceman can do. It's all just a matter of how far the writers want to go.

I’ve always assumed that The Human Torch is an Omega Level character. I’ve been a fan of the Human Torch since I was a young child. Something about seeing a comic character being completely engulfed in flames, flying around and throwing fireballs at opposing villains, always intrigued me. The Fantastic Four have been such a massive influence on the Marvel Universe and comics in general that when you think about it, The Human Torch doesn’t get nearly enough love. I hope that Marvel Studios has something special planned when it comes time to introduce Marvels First Family into the MCU! Flame On!🔥💥🔥☄️

He can do pretty much almost anything. I have always considered Storm and Magneto to be above Iceman, not just in power but of their power's capabilities.

Nice video. It is always a hazzle writing fire-based characters, because they have to be nerfed: Look at how handicapped people get, when they get severe burns; skin melts off, becomes less subtle, so motoric function is basically rendering them unable to move normally, nerves are damaged and the pain is excruciating. One can lose the ability to sweat, which is terrifying because of how quickly the human body builds temperature. Burn-damage in comics is mostly brushed off, because of how ridiculously dangerous and horrific it is, which makes fire-characters mostly a joke.
