Wanda in the MCU is probably gonna be morally corrupted by Cthon since she's studying the Darkhold. She's probably going to be the conduit through which Cthon will be brought to the Earthly dimension of the MCU.

I doubt. DS2's villain is Mordo and other interdimensional villain who hate the increase of sorcerers. Wanda is not the villain of DS2. Yall expecting too much from Wanda again (from Mephisto to Quicksilver to Chthon to her bringing mutants to Magneto showing up whatever there is and none of it happened in WandaVision LMAOOOO). Wanda in DS2 will be just her minding her own business trying to find her kids' souls and she will probably mess up the multiverse while doing so. Then Mordo with his hatred on the sorcerers because there are so many already (that's what he said on DS1 post credit scene), he will strive to wipe up wizards and witches, including Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. He might get help with an interdimensional villain who are powerful enough to fight those two powerful magic users. Remember that DS2 is about DOCTOR STRANGE and the consequences of the first film (Mordo turning sides). Scarlet Witch will mind her own business and will just be included in the problems of Mordo vs Doctor Strange, because "probably" the interdimensional villain who has her kids' souls is the same interdimensional villain Mordo is working with. DS2 is a team up of Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch vs Mordo + An interdimensional villain who strived to wipe their existence.

@@brianm3160 this Wanda isn't exactly like her comic counterpart so you can't exactly applying everything she is in the comics to who she is in the MCU. As shown in wandavision she's not immune to being manipulated or mind controlled by other characters in the MCU i.e. - seeing as how Agatha manipulated her throughout Wandavision, playing on a her trauma and attachments; also how Agatha reversed Wanda's mind illusion during their fight in the last episode. I doubt Cthon would actually need to possess Wanda, he could just play her like how Agatha did but with more precise control seeing as he is an Elder God of Chaos i.e. - he is more knowledgeable on the dark mystic arts and is more powerful than Agatha. Moreover, would they actually put possession into something like the MCU? I feel like it would be easier to portray Wanda being manipulated/mind controlled than actually being possessed by Cthon. I just don't see possession fitting into the MCU because possesion is a more horror and religious thing, than being something that is about a fantastical world of ancient aliens, powerful artificats and relatable superheros

Wanda and Vision weren't even popular with a lot of fans before the MCU. 10 years ago, it was only the hard-core comic nerds who were excited when Thanos appeared. Now, your Aunt knows who Thanos is. Marvel has their house in order when it comes to making characters and using them to tell fun stories.

the darkhold's actually had a range of use in early comics. It was in the possession of doctor strange for a long while, who could actually read it, and actually was instrumental at one point in reducing earths vampire population in a story lead by dracula due to the fact other people have added to it, including a monk that had made a notation for a cure for vampirism in low infection and instant death for any fully infected. It also contains a long history of the "Dark side" of magic in the marvel universe. There was some after words stories in doctor stange for awhile that was tales from the darkhold. Its more that marvel kinda went away from the old pulp fiction horror stories that the darkholds gone so much more towards the "item of power that's not much more then that" of late. If yah ever get to read some back issues of doctor strange from way back in the day they get very trippy in a fun way.

But still, should Chthon ever return, the Demogorge would not be a problem since he has already created way to destroy the Demogorge via the Darkhold.. The Demogorge is only as powerful as the gods it devours.. The last time the Elder God Set fought the Demogorge, it lasted for millions of years and caused the extinction of the dinosaurs which led Set loose his connection to the Earth.. Eternity himself feared Chthon and likened him to a cancer and told Hank Pym that should he is ever allowed to return, all ow reality will fall before him within a blink of an eye..

The Darkhold was very important and touches many and would be a great mcguffin for the next MCU phases. It was also very important to Dracula who manipulated the Darkholders to turn him into the virtual God of Vampires before Dr Strange used the Darkhold to wipe out all vampires (except his own brother leaving it open for every vampire including Varnae to return). This would link Dr Strange to Blade and at one point - when the Darkhold was in the Avengers vault - Dracula battled Thor, Lady Siff, Scarlet Witch, Monica Rambeau as Captain Marvel along with Strange and Blade.

Using the knowledge found in the Darkhold, Wanda can access various alternate Earths possibly trying to find her children, causing chaos to cascade across the Multiverse..

My theory now is that Agatha tried to use the dark hold to somehow rescue Nicholas Scratch or return him to the earthly plane (or some other possibly noble intention), but was corrupted by Cthon and ended up being used herself to ready Wanda to be the earthly vessel for Cthon. Watching this after Wandavision season finale. It looks like Wanda may still be the villain in upcoming films because she's reading the dark hold and may be becoming possessed by cthon. She has nothing to lose, very inexperienced with her magic, and obsessed with bringing her family back. Perfect combination to become a vessel of possession. Cthon might be the new over arching evil pushing the way for blade and Dr strange 2. I like this darker turn for the mcu of this is true.

Obviously she is gonna be possessed by Cathon as by cosmics and then try to fulfill her destiny of destroying the world just like Agatha said it's mentioned in the Darkhold too! Also once Wanda gets possessed by Cathon, Doctor Stranger might come to stop her and get the Darkhold locked away in the next movie!
