I like that this show is exploring some different Spider-man ideas and a new love interest. This show might be kind of fun but it has a lot to live up to and the Spider-Man shows have been on a rocky slope since Spectacular Spider-man ended which is still the best modern series ever. I just hope it feels fresh and stands out! Very cool to know that they will be using the classic theme song again!

I grew up watching the 1960s animated Spider-Man series in syndication. This was at a time when there were only two places you could see Spider-Man, live-action or animated. It was either the '60s animated series or the Spidey Super Stories on The Electric Company. The Electric Company Spidey Super Stories are all on KZbin, and they are worth a watch. Morgan Freeman was in at least one of them. However, they were really aimed at very young kids. When I was nine, The Amazing Spider-Man premiered with Nicholas Hammond as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It wasn't a great show, but I watched it whenever it was on, which wasn't all that often. Really, the best version of Spider-Man was the 1960s animated series, and its theme song was awesome. I really hope they include that music a lot in this series.

There wasn't much Spider-Man available regarding live action back then. I grew up watching The Electric Company and those Spider-Man appearances were just shorts. I remember they also had a costumed character in blue that appeared at least one time with that Electric Company Spider-Man. The Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man series was rarely shown. I think I was aware of it when it first aired but missed it just seeing the commercials. The only other times I recall seeing it was one summer on afternoons in the mid 80s and then some time in the middle of the night in the early 90s. I've since seen all the episodes on line recently and think they are great for the time they were created. I really prefer a young adult Spider-Man over the teenage versions we are getting now. I think there were also some Spider-Man cartoons made in the 70s and early 80s. I do remember Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends that had him paired up with Ice Man and Firestar. I used to think that Firestar was Mary Jane as a kid. Then the Spider-Man animated show from the 90s appeared and I think it was one of the best cartoons ever created. They used Nicholas Hammond's likeness for that Peter Parker. Thanks for your post. I was trying to remember when the very first I saw the Spider-Man character and you mentioning The Electric Company sparked my memory.

@@ChargerBullet After the Nicholas Hammond series was canceled, they combined some of the episodes to make 2-hour movies that could be shown in syndication. I used to watch Spiderman And His Amazing Friends on Saturday mornings. I don't recall seeing it at the time, but there was a stand-alone "without his amazing friends" series with the same voice actor that was made at roughly the same time. That cartoon and the one with his friends are on Disney Plus, and they are both listed as being from 1981. There is also a Spider-Woman cartoon from 1979 that I have no memory of.

I think you do a very good job of switching between face cam and memes, clips from the show. The memes and clips is something that I find to be on the highest level on KZbin from this exact Chanel - so don't just go all out face cam, because you are also very good at editing clips and videos in at the right time to match with the VoiceOver.
