Marvel has a Variants Problem

Today I'm taking some time to hop into the always expanding MCU and how they've taken this pursuit in 'canonizing' a lot of the older Fox movies and the Spider-man movies, they even folded in the Netflix series.
All this is going to affect people's perception of future projects. With other heroes like Batman, Superman or Spider-man it's often a new universe so you can take the new character on board, but we've seen an entirely different Wolverine, Gambit, Blade and other characters before their actual MCU version which I think kinda sucks. It takes some of the wind out of the sails of those characters showing up.

I disagree, considering how much the MCU is focused on Nostalgia using the multiverse I think it can pull some wind from the sails of when the MCU versions of these characters are introduced. As cool as it is to see Hugh Jackman in the classic Wolverine costume I think it would have built a lot more hype for the main MCU version of Wolverine if that version was the first time we saw the costume, similar for other variants we've seen before the main MCU versions, Reed Richards, Blackbolt, Gambit etc
