MCU Spidey is overly dependant on Tony on 2/3 of his movies. It's fine if he gets help, but he gets ALL his gear and tools handed by him. And the last one while it's good, it had to do A LOT of uplifting by how underwhelming were developing him. Compare that to Tobey's and even Andrew's, they weren't not only alone fighting their threats, they did develop each of their versions. They both are resourceful. Literally No Way Home gladly ends aiming for that, but as an overall trilogy ain't that good really.

I was fine with Tom’s spider-man being connected to the larger MCU during the Infinity Saga bc he had a strong debut in Civil War and I thought he had good development in hoco and ffh. And played a crucial role in IW&endgame. The fact that the same writers that character assassinated Doctor Strange in NWH are involved in the next film makes it even worse. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are the main reason why Holland's Spider-Man had lot of inconsistent bad writing for the entire trilogy, especially the one dimensional incredibly boring side characters. I do not trust these two guys AT ALL to be able to deliver with another multiverse movie, something tells me they're going to give the Love and Thunder treatment to Spider-Man 4 and completely erase all the development that Peter had at the end of the last film.

My problem is that there have been extenuating circumstances with some recent Marvel properties, and people are claiming the MCU is dead. It's like, Guardians 3 just made nearly a billion, Wakanda Forever nearly made a billion, Loki Season 2 was critically acclaimed, Deadpool's trailer is one of the most watched trailers, and The Marvels is dominating Disney Plus right now. If that's what a "dead" franchise looks like, what the hell is an "alive" franchise???

I just want a street level Spider-Man film where he struggles between balance of both worlds, but ultimately eventually finds it through the good love of Mary Jane Watson. And never bring in Miles Morales please. He’s just a replacement character who’s brought in to outshine Spider-Man. Not having it. Also, no Toby doesn’t behave anything like Spider-Man. His movies are timeless and grasps a lot about the Spider-Man lore…but They made him a kind hearted, lovable nerd with quickly resolved character flaws. That’s not Spider-Man. Andrew is most comic accurate.

Can we talk about how much mcu spiderman stole stuff from Miles morales, like is best friend Ned is Ganke lee copy. And Peter Parker always hated being in group with superheroes like avengers, X-men and fantastic 4. But in the mcu he loves the avengers like Miles did in the comics. Miles loved iron man and had him as a mentor for a while and Tony Stark do really care about Miles, and Vulture daughter thing is weird. What are Mcu gonna do with Miles when the took stuff away from him and gave it to Peter.

Peter is also considered family by the Fantastic Four and even joined them after Johnny died in the comics. I will admit that Ned being Gankee was taken from Miles.

Peter even punched Tony for trying to take the mentor role from him with Miles. One thing I don't understand is the rumor that MJ will be in MCU Spider-Man 4 when that film will take place after Avengers Doomsday when Doom already wins. What real purpose would MJ serve in that story? It's being theorized that the MCU version of Battle World will be simplified to being the Void, and if that is the case then MJ is going to be a literal background character regardless of what the actual story of the film is going to be.
