This is a decent release. They actually molded his control disc in his hand. I can forgive the weird deco. He definitely is the second best of the wave behind Thor.

I wasn't familiar with The Controller but I like the design. The face really works for me. Some very silver age and Kirby style designing that I like.

Looks pretty good to me. As I've said before, the less well known characters pique my interest. He even has alternative hands which is rare for a baf. I'm astonished that Hasbro re-sculpted the Thanos Torso. The highlight paint is very slap dash like Thanos. A dark wash could improve it.

I have always wondered how they would make this character as he is a weird comic book character. He is basically to this toy, outside of the shading. I would love to have some control discs to put them on people. Like make wrestlers fight superheroes.

My VHS Cyclops does that fall off thing with the left arm, too...except he isn't a BAF...

@AnthonysCustoms Thx for the review as always! I really don't care much for Controller either (I know little about him). Built him only because I did buy the whole wave. I'm actually ok with the "cell-shaded" paint job, and the colors are appealing. I do agree with you 100% on the proportions. I'll dive deeper. They're off; I mean---REALLY OFF. It seems with larger Marvel figures, the more massive the character, the more compacted the extremities and torso become! Controller, Juggernaut, AOA Apocalypse, etc all suffer from stubby forearms, thighs, calves, and short torsos. Caliban and retro Apocalypse...they got them right as far as proportions. But these other guys look a bit ridiculous. Some characters should be on the stocky build side, but most big Marvel BAFs are stubby! I know Controller is part of Iron Man's rogues gallery, and I'm trying to like him enough to put him on the shelf, but...I don't think he's worthy! He may end up in the 'baY! 😅

Finally :) i was not interested in this but as i looked up what he can do in the comics it became interesting. That Extra paint app is just not needed i think. I don't care about it. The face is nice. All around is a boring character at the end and you had to buy crappy Madame Hydra :(

Ive been reading the pre-Infinity Gauntlet omnibus books. And this guy was one of Thanos' lackey villians who got punished (or killed off) by Thanos for not defeating Captain Marvel. Yes geek stuff. Lol

Thanks for the review AC. Although on my wanted list, to say this product was in the top 30 - I'd be lying. I'm an old school Bronze Age Iron Man and Captain Marvel fan and this character played an important role when Thanos 1st came to earth. Happy to include another old school Iron Man villain, I am not happy with the "MEDIOCRE" work Hasbro did. The paint work looks smudged with a cloth. The only other color comes from the plastic. The portrait is the only redeemable thing to say about it. I wish DST would do a version.

I have no idea who the Controller is and I didn't buy Thor in this line, becuase I hate that design. So basically I have a headless figure. 😄 I was waiting for Thor to drop in price for fodder and to complete the BAF. I can't find Thor now (cheap/reasonable price), so I guess I'l customize it into a different character.😂🤣

The paint job on the body is absolutely atrocious. Luckily it is a very bland body and easily fixable. Just did a quick dark blue wash and light blue dry-brush on it (after removing the bad paint with some thinner) & it is very much improved.
