Death's Head is interesting because, if you're not aware of his history, he's technically a Transformers character lol. Well that's where he started, anyway. He was created for the Marvel UK run of the original Transformers comics as a sort of throwaway character before branching out into other series after he proved popular enough to keep around.
@stephengray83743 күн бұрын
I wonder if this figure is larger than the average Marvel Legends figure so that he can also fit with Hasbro's Transformers line? At 7.5 inches, he'd probably look eye to eye with the likes of Legacy Galvatron.

Death's Head is a VERY niche character, and I've been waiting FOREVER for Hasbro to do a Legends version of him, and for the most part, I'm very happy. I'll have to agree to disagree with Anthony's review, as I think they hit everything needed for a DH figure in terms of look and accessories. I think Hasbro put a little more effort than they usually do with their Legends stuff for a character that not many people are familiar with, and I appreciate that. But to be honest, I have seen the paint vary on these, but I guess I lucked out because I got a good one (after exchanging one with a few QC issues, that is). And the articulation could be better as well. I had no issues with gummy/loose joints, however.

I think they made him big like that to stand with Transformers toys. Just a guess. I hear his last comic run was pretty good. I wasn’t expecting to ever get a proper Legends for him, I kind of like it. I have the smaller one, from that smaller line they used to have years ago.

Question of the day: Absolutely cared when he was announced, was a bit pissed when I saw he was a exclusive thinking he’d be sold out or not as easily obtained. I wanted to pair him up with Death’s Head II / Minion for a while and liked the series and his appearances I managed to see. I’m hoping somewhere down the line they make his other version you pointed out. I really wanna see this guy painted up and customized though.

Outside of a few issues, I'm more content paying for this figure than I am some of the more expensive Legends figures of late. I do want silver paint instead of leaving the marbleized plastic as it is. He may not match his Marvel G1 Transformers appearance 100% but he'll probably be posed with some of the characters from the Generations line based on the comics.
@metalneanderthal3 күн бұрын
Big fan! Was very excited for this. I read the comics he was in. Now..as a figure. He’s decent enough. Could it have been better? Most definitely. He looks decent with Deaths head 2. Which that’s my biggest complaint. You are right he’s too big. Death’s head 2 is bigger, but they both are using the same Colossus buck. I happen to like a lot of these obscure characters. They are made for a lot of us “deep cut” comic book fans. People outside of that circle don’t get it, which I understand.

Yeah, that was a great time for UK comics. Dragon's Claws came around at exactly the right time for me. It would have been great to have seen more of that world. All the best to you 👍

Couldn't agree more with what you said about this figure. I personally really like his comic portrayal. And have waited for this incarnation like forever. Well, there is another 3rd party transforming figure of him that do more justice. It is ironic how bad Hasbro did him dirty, while other really care enough of him to make decent figure.

Wow, I actually recognise the old trading card design of the packaging! I used to have this guy specifically, which is why I clicked the video 😄. I will say it shows such a lack of care that the ‘power ratings’ on the back of the package don’t even show what stat each of the bars represent 😑

I have no desire for this figure. The character design has always looked really goofy to me. So I don’t fault the figure for it.
