ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

This wave made me realize that we need a J. Jonah Jameson really bad! I wouldn’t mind a second wave with Hobgoblin, Spider armor mark 1, Venom on the omega red body mold, J. Jonah Jameson, Chameleon, and Doc Ock. Hell Hasbro could even throw in a deluxe figure such as Rhino like they did with Kingpin.

smooth jazz that’s true, however the only things these figures really share with the animated series is the packaging. Most of the figures except for the green goblin are all based on comic appearances.

I know this is like asking for magic. But I’m thinking a Sandman that uses the Hercules mold, retooled to allow interchangeable parts. And maybe have the head resemble (even slightly) actor Thomas Haden Church. Like I said, probably like asking for magic, it’s a long shot. But one can hope. At least the Hercules mold.

I finally opened my retro Electro and I like him. I wish they'd use different body molds though. Just like with characters like Pyro, I think of Electro as a slimmer character. He and Pyro just look to buff in their new Legends forms though. In a way, the old Toy-Biz versions still work well. There needs to be more variance in scale from Hasbro.

What hey Shartimus?! Are you dealing with grief with humor? Poor Gwen. I just got that MS Sandman and it’s pretty awesome besides the torso. It looks great in the Six. I look forward to this offering and the new Mysterio. I kind of hope they do a SAS Dock Ock with harness from the show packaged in the card/blister. Better tentacles too. Nice review!

When I collected figures from this scale I stopped collecting figures from marvel, because I don't like how the figure looked with all the ball joints showing, I prefer bodies like the ones DC direct used even if they didn't have a lot of articulation, but in these days the articulated figures look better, the joints are not that visible, some figures like spiderman need to be posed to look good... maybe I'll start collecting this scale again, great review !!!

I know this will sound like sacrilege the first thing I’m doing with this electro when I get him is fixing the starfish face. I find the gigantic mask really dumb. It worked in the 60s and 70s but now it just feels too dorky. I think the best version of this type of mask was from the Marvel Knights comics. Still felt like an homage to the classic design without looking awkward.
