As a theme wave, this is the best and most consistent wave since the Juggernaut or Apocalypse waves. Every figure is supernatural/horror themed! All of these figures go with the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider! This is the best wave of the year!

This Strange Tales waves is one of the most exciting BAF waves we’ve gotten in a while. Highlights of the wave for me are Dracula, Weapon of Vengence, Lilith, Damian, and of course Blackheart

In a wave with Dracula in it, it feels weird that there's no Blade. It would have been cool to see a 1970's version with the brown jacket and green pants. Oh yeah, and the Odin is definitely the the main event!

Dave, that's not just another Moon Knight, that's MEME KNIGHT! The outfit he wore during the storyline where had magic powers, from which a panel was edited so that he says "Random bullshit go!!" which has become a meme, Dracula is also in this wave, and another famous edited Meme Knight page is him asking if Dracula "has his money." Seriously tho, the only figure I was interested in for this wave was Dracula, but then I saw that super nice Blackheart. That is really really tempting.

Disney only has the rights to the MCU not Marvel in its entirety fyi. And there's a huge riff with what Disney is trying to do with the movie's (It's frustrating to not only the fans but the star actors are voicing their disdain and will ultimately cut ties because of how much they are ruining it like they did Star Wars etc.)

What makes the Strange Tales feel necessary, is Blackheart. I SO want Blackheart, that I'm willing to get Hellverine and all the other characters I don't care about. I only want Lilith, and Hellstorm, but I'll have to get the others to build Blackheart. Bloodstorm is from "Mutant X", which is early 2000.

Most of these reveals didn't do much for me but I need that Phoenix. I'm glad I passed on the X-Men '97 Jean because I don't really care for her regular design and find the Phoenix costume way cooler. I kinda want Hellverine but I'll have to see him in hand post-release before I bite.

I started ordering from ToySnowman based out of MTL Canada. For the zabu wave they had an option to order each figure with or without the baf. You could also simply purchase the baf. Nice option in all honesty, don't know if they'll continue it though!

I love that I'll be able to beef up my Midnight Sons roster now. Still...Hellstorm leaves a bit to be desired. A kitbash/custom using him and that wild Namor might add some needed details though...

I agree about the blah baf blackheart, I would want it but would want it more like the toybiz colors and effects. Definitely won't buy the wave for it... The one that striked my chord is the Jean Grey Pheonix w 2 heads and that amazing Stand!! Phenomenal, I gotta get that probably 2 so I can also pose the TRU Dark Phoenix with that stand instead of using the old Toybiz Phoenix stand. That's definitely a double chefs kiss for me!!!

That Odin is amazing. Bloodstorm is pretty neat--is she the first Mutant-X version of a character to geta ML? Moon Knight works to finish an OG West Coast Avengers team in accurate costumes. Also...that Hellstorm is...terrible.

Agreed! I want the Hellstorm to pad out my Midnight Sons roster, but I am not happy with what they are releasing. I feel like the Haslab on him had some better details. I was considering doing a kitbash/custom outta that weird Namor (Namor's trident looks so much better). They're both essentially shirtless barefoot dudes in capris anyway.

The only problem with the first appearance rouge figure is that in her first appearance she had two stripes of white over her head above her eyes. The "skunk/ badger" strip came later.

I liked the Dracula, Lilith, Damian, and Moonknight for the Blackheart wave. I don't have an all white Moonknight so I don't mind. But I've been wanting a Dracula for a long time as well as we needed a new updated Blackheart, since we haven't seen him since the toybiz days! And that Odin, I've been wanting a comic version and they knocked it out of the park as this completely beats the old BAF we had in 2014 I think? I just hope he's affordable without needing to take out a loan lol. Do you think theyll release that Mephisto, DMB?

Overall: Phoenix looks awsome, will probably cost an arm and a leg. And yet another baf wave I have no intrest in completing. I love the Midnight sons, so I'll be picking up Lillith. Possibly Dr. Voodoo. And ok, I'll admit it: Hellverine looks so gloriously stupid I can't but smile looking at him. I'll be getting him aswell.

Hi Dave. Not everybody thinks $50 is a good value price for that figure. I wouldn't pay more than $30. $25 for a regular figure is outrageous. But that is just my humble opinion.😊

Rogue tax? If anything, I was pleasantly surprised and relieved we are getting her instead of Mystique. I know they're a couple, but I'm still perfectly fine with my Walgreen's one. If people are going to say she is too far back, then there's the VHS one, and there are tutorials out there for removing cel-shading. I'd hate to have had to get Mystique again just for Destiny. It's a Rogue we've never gotten before, it's basically a first appearance look, AND it matches in filling out that iteration of the Brotherhood between both of them. Works for me. Otherwise, crapping on a new Moon Knight? Come on, Dave! I know it's not very different from the basic classic Walgreen's/Target one, but it's a legit alternate take and comic-accurate from the Fist Of Khonshu era. The character has gotten a much bigger following in recent years, and checking off one more look from the list shouldn't be that big a deal to anyone who's seen more than their fair share of Wolverines, Caps, Spideys, and Iron Mans (Iron Men?).

Excellent review of the news 👍🏽 You will not believe it, but one of my three essential figures of these reveals is Moon Knight 😂 I don't have any version and I wanted exactly this (with the golden stuff) to complete my West Coast Avengers. The 2 pack with classic Rogue (my favourite version, can't wait to display her alongside the new Warbird) + Destiny and Phoenix Deluxe are my other primary targets. Odin, Lilith and Dracula are my secondary targets. Odin maybe could join the first team, if the prize is reasonable. Cheers 🎉

You mentioned goblin queen in both this and your live stream, I really don’t think we’ll get her as they did the 97 version this year and it’s unlikely that we’ll get two figures within like 3-4 years of the same lesser known characters. It’s pretty easy to swap out the lower torso on the 97 figure and add a a little paint to make her pretty accurate.

I only collect MCU and X-Men 97' figures (and G.I. Joe Classified) so this is both good and bad. Good that I don't have to worry about spending a ton of money on figures but bad that the only MCU figure revealed is Man-Thing. I'm guessing that Deadpool and Wolverine figures are coming but they don't want to show spoilers (if that is even possible with this movie) the fact that there is only 1 MCU movie coming out this year means it's slim pick'ens for us MCU collectors.

A beautiful figure, even though if it was Nickolas Cage....🤩, but that’s just the start yah!??! Ok so, imthey are giving me Lilith I’m excited. And I really want to see Vengeance, and his Hellcycle. That mephistopheles, maybe even we’ll get Robbie soon. But what could the Baf be? Zarthos? “What if”🤣 They give each new figure a version of it as one of the many Riders?
