Robo, I enjoy This two pack its got so much going for it. The brief case not being able to hold the arc reactor being my only real nitpick. The arc reactor is ideal in sculpt. I did this set and two McFarlane figures. I wait for those spawn figures, familiar story? I see that stealth iron man wants into the review;) marvel legends everywhere. Be well.

Thank you for a fun review and at least mentioning some of the shortcomings of the Iron Monger fig in passing. I just opened mine and was a little underwhelmed after all the orgasmic reviews I'd seen. Some major positives but also some real WTF items, such as the fact that if this thing were real, it couldn't walk up hill...at all. 🤣

Obadiah is the love child of Dude and Picard? Def more Old Man Xavier than Starman influence happening here. (Any chance we'll see a comparison of those two actor likenesseseses?) I do see Obie sitting/squatting inside the chest/torso instead of wearing it like Tony did, which would break his legs, if not more. I think this armor was 10-12ft tall, so there's no other real option for the operator inside. If I could change TWO things: opening torso that you could place Obie's torso inside. (removable limb mod?) Make the arc reactor bright blue/white inside the torso, as I realize there's no way we're getting led or lite-pipe to work in that location. oh, and add another hand with that neuralizer device Obie uses on Said(?) and Tony. Did you try to put the Obie head on the armor peg? How would that look, if so?

That feature was a selling point on the three zero Hulkbuster and mark 43. U remove the upper torso and lower arms to insert it into the armor. They definitely could have done so here too

This is an awesome review, this kinda makes me wonder what if iron man didn't kill stane and whiplash and was able to keep their suits basically doing like what he did in the armored adventures series where he thought of incorporating his enemies tech into his armor

I ordered my set the EXACT same way! MODOK kicked my total over $100. Also, I tested the new Red Skull head on the Obidiah body to make him look similar to the Red Skull from Captain America 350 (where Steve gets to be Cap again).

I remember having about 3 or 4 different versions of this iron monger figure 🤣 I had the opening one with Obi inside, one with an arm moving action, a regular one similar to this - And I think there was a blue one? So many versions of these suits 🤣

I recall the opening torso version as v2, the first one had red and blue arc reactor variants? One of those two might have had the arm action? Mine might still be boxed up from two moves ago? oh. and a red/gold variant?

Usually, I prefer black series or marvel legends figures with masks on or with alien faces because the likeness of the actors faces are many times still not as good as I prefer them to be. However, this is one of the cases where I think they really nailed the Obadiah's actors face.

Comparing the Stane figure to the Iron Monger figure make me realize the Iron Monger isnt up to scale. I should actually be a bit bigger to somehow have the Stane figure fit into it but the fact we got this figure in the first place is a blessing

Hey robo, have you ever tried the tamiya weathering master? I mainly build gundam kits and I recently picked up a few sets of the stuff and its AWESOME!! I'd say it would work on figures as long as you topcoat it. It would make that iron monger look much better. Just a suggestion. P.s. love watching you videos

It’s hard to be sure but I believe even the iron monger figure is reuse from an iron man 6 inch movie line that came out along with the movie, it was way before the “return of Marvel Legends” wave and so most of those figures were of lesser quality but there were still some good figures in the line, I would even argue that the Iron man 2 movie figures were a huge part of the Marvel Legends resurgence at hasbro. Anyway the iron monger had 2 variants, both had gimmicks, one had an opening chest with terribly scaled Obadiah inside and the other had a twisting torso punch feature when you squeezed the leg, that’s probably the one this figure was based on that’s why the arms and legs have some awkwardness to them
