Dragon Man was SEVERELY underpriced by Hasbro. Notice I said BY HASBRO. What I meant is that they consider it severely underpriced by their own corporate pricing standards. Of course to us collectors he seems fairly reasonable or at most slightly underpriced, compared to other 6" lines. (Xesray, Fury Toys, etc. chonker figures) The only reason Hasbro underpriced DM was because he was the first of their new line of direct made to order figures that is replacing Haslab for ML. They needed it to succeed bigly and to turn around the collector sentiment that large ML figures will likely fail. And now they DM was a huge success, they are "correctly" pricing their new figure in that line, the sentinels. Correctly as in overpriced.

@maddexjoseph3138 I could afford Dragon Man if I wanted it, but I don't collect these types of characters. The price isn't the problem, the problem is it's a poor quality Hasbro Product. It’s interesting to think that at one time you could buy a Fin Fang Foom BAF for 80 bucks loose…. back in 2010…. and around 120-150 to get the whole wave and I thought that was overpriced even then…. But this Odin is literally half the cost of that whole entire wave with BAF parts included…. It’s damn right absurd….. that’s why I haven’t collected Marvel Legends in years and will only on rare occasion pick one up if I can get a bargain…. I’m sick of Hasbro overpricing their product like it’s superior (FYI it’s not)…. no Hasbro is basically a multibillion dollar monopoly with no real competitors and they damn well know it and they know people will pay whatever price they put on it…. so with my wallet in mind…. this Odin can go burn in plastic toy Hell along with Hasbro…… 😈 🔥

Hasbro quarter earnings are down 15-20%. They gotta get those prices up to maintain profits. Comparing this to McFarlane figures, equivalent paint and plastic are nearly half the price. He's $50 at Target if you're able to get him from there and there's a 25% off a single toy coupon if you have Target Circle. Got him immediately when he popped up. He's been coming in and out of stock the last few days. Well worth it at that price (~$35). I'm in the camp of getting him regardless of pricing to begin with. He just looks awesome to me. I pick and choose ML already, so overpaying for an occasional figure that I really want is stomach-able. IMHO moving forward ML collector base will just shrink. So the increase in pricing is justifiable in a perverse sense, in that Hasbro will have to work with an ever-shrinking customer base. They won't ever reach the level of an indie company having to charge $40 for a barebone standard size 6" figure like one of those kickstarter lines by 1 guy, but it'll trend that way. People who just MUST have ML figures will be the ones knowing they're overpaying but stick with it anyways. People who collect multiple lines will move away from it and get stuff that's more worth it like Jada, or Spinmasters or any one of the Chinese lines that are popping up like weed these days.

I'm curious what justifies the price hike on this figure? Is it the additional accessories, paint job, sculpt, articulation or popularity? IMO the figure looks great but I'm seeing some setback in articulation and it does not look fun to pose. I like what Jada toys did for Bison but that's probably due to the character's design that frees up more room for articulation but you also get a wired cape too. I don't know if $60 is going to cut it but at best I see this at $40. I just can't get into ML if hasbro is doing few good things forward but couple steps backwards.
