I like the BAF as a single release, especially for those that maybe missed out or skipped it because it was a great BAF in a “meh” wave. But I guess that’s how Hasbro gets us to buy meh figures because we want the BAF.

I would prefer if Hasbro removed the BAF out and put more accessories into the package, many figures have barebone to no accessories because either Hasbro cheapened out the accessories or they want customers to buy all the wave in order to complete the BAF figures. Also, the blast effect under the chair looks like he's shitting it out, lmao.

Honestly your idea is great. Because way too many times there will be a BAF figure that you want, but you have to get a lot of stinkers just for some limbs. Spider Ham being a big example.

I’m fine with these completed BAFs being an official individual release. If there are some parts they can’t fit in the current standard Legends packaging, this is the way to go.

I legit loved shopping for a figure with nothing in particular in mind, and finding Modok on the shelf and spending a little extra and walking out with a premium figure I could enjoy right away. BAFs often lead to days if not weeks of waiting/tracking for me in a small Kansas town without many stores selling figures. This was quick and easy and just a fun purchase in comparison, without 3 or 4 action figures I probably wouldn't have bought if not for the BAF they came with. I would adore this becoming the norm with extra accessories being sold along standard figures instead, I would definitely buy more 'BAF' type figures this way, and it would just make the collecting experience a lot more simple and enjoyable to me.

Hasbro could permanently give up on the BAF thing and use these Deluxe instead, unless the waves and BAF were always related. The waves should be like this: Comic based wave with six comic related characters and comic related BAF MCU based wave with six MCU related characters and MCU related BAF Gamerverse based wave with six Gamerverse related characters and Gamerverse related BAF. Even then I think I would rather have more accessories and the BAF sold as a deluxe. This M.O.D.O.K. is excellent and I agree with every one of your critics. Thanks for the review Anthony.

I love that they released it this way. It allows them to do one-offs and to charge a little bit more for them and it allows them to do a better job. This is a bit bigger and much higher quality than your average BAF so I fully welcome it. Plus, now I don't have to buy a full wave of figures I don't want just to get the good one

I think it’s way better they release these as BAF solo boxes, because it’s a popular character, and then you don’t have people buying out entire sets or waves for the people who A) wanted a singular figure out of the set B) easier for more people to buy that figure and not have to hunt down all 7 for the pieces! :)

Honestly a great release. If the limbs looked better, it'd be almost a perfect figure. Regarding your question: it's a very good idea because people should not have to buy multiple figures they're probably not interested in just to get to the character they care for.

This proves that the BAF model is obsolete, the point of doing BAFs was to release big figures that could have been sold individually for an affordable price, but this proves they can sell them separately and maybe spend the budget in more accesories or tooling, anything to make Legends good again

I honestly could've lived without the second face. The choice is really an angry face or an angrier one so I really don't see myself switching his faces much. I would've preferred blast effects for a head blaster... unless that meant his default position would leave him with a glaring hole in his head. I'm also fine with these releases so long as Hasbro gives you enough to justify the higher price tag.

This would have been epic if they had done 3 things different. 1. Switch out faceplate with alternate screaming face would have been dope. 2. Better painted stand. Looks kinda cheap. 3. Wash or dry brushing on the arms or legs. Would have made this premium asf

I'm happy with Hasbro releasing big figures this way. No "hard to get" figures that make the building proccess more annoying, no figures of characters we don't really care about, and the best part, not having to buy a fucking excuse of a figure like Spider-Ham was only to get a BaF part, lol. @@muisverriet honestly I didn't care top much for the mcfarlane Spiderman but I'm just saying the articulation and just the Sculpting and details and Toybiz did on their figures was just more superior to Hasbro. I think hasbro does do a good job with paint jobs but I truly wish we had fingers and toes again at least on Spider-man figures.

Got my MODOK a couple of weeks ago. I like the BAF in a Box, especially since I wasn't buying Marvel Legends when Toy Biz put out their MODOK. Easy to assemble, and I wouldn't mind other releases in the future.

I like it. While I do enjoy collecting and “building” the figures, this kind of thing just takes the hassle of finding all the parts out of the equation. Like I missed the original Red Hulk BAF, but got the Target Red Hulk. Yeah, it’s not as shaded and stuff, but I didn’t have to pay eBay prices for it either. And doing a kind of Deluxes? Yep. A new Fin Fang Foom in this format would be sweet. As to MODOK, the legs and head band not being painted bother me less than that weird lump of plastic for the jet coming from his chair. I agree with you there.

I never really liked BAFs, I would much rather get bigger figures on their own and get more accessories or something with standard figures. Fingers crossed Venompool gets a similar treatment because a few figures in his wave are already double the price they should be online.

I am very happy to buy it in a box by itself... there have been times where I only bought the entire wave BECAUSE of the Build a Figure. Usually I only want maybe one or two figures... I don't need a twelfth Deadpool or a movie figure. I want the comic figures and the BAF.

I got it from Amazon in a discount offer, it cost me 15 bucks. Personally, I love the idea of having the chance of getting BAFs as stand alone (some times even improved) figures like thay did with Ares, Monster Venom and Walmart Thanos.

BaFs released as individual figures are nice but sometimes they don't have too much going on, like Venom who had zero accesories. He shoukd have gotten new hands, feet abd head. The bad part about BaFs is that sometimes there are very bad and cheap figures that have the piece you need. I wouldn't mind Modok as a BaF but i doubt all the figures would be worth buying and keeping.

I think it's a great idea to just release bafs as a standalome figures,because sometimes they're the most interesting figures in the wave and other figures might be unwanted. I think 50$ is too much though... Aside from limbs,I think there should be more details on the back.

He looks great. Over all better then the toybiz. Toybiz though better paint & no qc issue(like yours). Deluxe should be a couple times a year for strong in demand characters which Hasbro has done( for the most part). Glad to see you back reviewing. Hopefully you are ok...maybe got the hand injury working on your action figure line? Be well.

The original baf has the same problem the figure leans and the color of the base though more realistic is slightly off the blast effect on the orig is a little more real

In all honesty he looks really good, I think they made his arms and legs a little too big, shortening his arms and legs would have made the figure more dynamic being that MODOK is all Brains and not bronze 😂 Also if the blast effect would have been a translucent light blue it would have made the colors pop more and give the figure a hoverong look instead of looking like hes blasting off imo. I cant believe he has two left legs but yet again what can you expect from hasbro 🤣
