Maverick is very underrated nowadays!!! I’ll definitely add him to my X Force team! I got Cable, Deadpool, Shatterstar, Domino, X Man and Deathlok. I’ll order Boom Boom in the future, then Sunspot and Warpath and Maverick! I’ll wait for Cannonball with legs

Crazy I never thought about how they're totally brand new. And there's something about your particular review of them that makes them shine that much more. I always loved that tiger stripe looking mask of theirs. Gonna be great to get this long overdue character (I've wanted since the early 00's) whenever it "officially" gets released. Got my pre-order in with GameStop. Let's hope they don't go out of business before they get dropped lol.

I couldn't get excited about Maverick when the solicits came out. I figured I'd sell he and Shiklah once I put my Strong Guy together. That has changed since I got him in-hand yesterday. You're right; it's a heck of a figure, and I can't be mad that the awesome sculpt hinders some articulation in the arms. Great review, brother.

Maverick was my favorite member ofTeam X, but Team X as a whole is still one of my favorite teams. Especially since many members inducted into the Weapon X program. If love to have the FULL Squad of Team X in their original black and yellowTeam X gear. Pro tip: if you haven't bought them yet, Hasbro Power Rangers Lighting Collection Beast Morphers: Red and Blue come with fist-size kinetic blasting effects. Most of the figures in that series come with a cool product btw.

Outstanding review. Loved the deep dive into his lore. I'm a big Maverick fan as well; Esctatic to see him get his due in ML form. As far as what other versions I'd wanna see, realistically, his streamlined design from his solo series (with the tiger stripes on the ribs and yellow/black unitard on the legs instead of the tactical pants) would be an easy way for Hasbro to get some re-use out of this mold as the upper body is mostly the same. His Strikeforce X look would also be easy for them to do. A Team X 3-pack, whether in their CIA field look or all in yellow/black tiger stripes as their latter personas would be amazing. And if they did Mav's enemies (pipe dreaming, lol)? Hammer and Sickle as you mentioned, would be cool, as would be the Confessor and Ivan Pushkin.

I don't know. That shiny silver paint juxtaposed with the dull, marbled gold plastic really highlights how awful that gold plastic looks. The one rounded gun is just a reuse of the Starlord guns from the Guardians Box set.
