Crazy how Tarantula didn’t get any open wall crawling hands included. However, I know the exact black open wall crawling hands to give him. He still should’ve came with some though.

Hasbro gives with one hand: classic character wanted by plenty of folk and takes with the other: older undersized buck with sod all accessories. Grasping hands with his finger stingers would've been great. Oh and if they jad to use this buck then give him the Falcon's bigger shoulders. I've always liked the character. In the comics I read he was a South American assassin working for a corrupt government. I remember reading (when I were young a lad), a Spidey comic where; fed up of being beaten by Spidey, he signed up with the Brand Corporation, to get powers and become Spidey's equal. It all went tits up when Willow the Wisp crashed the party and he transformed into a giant spider.

If we had a season 6 Animated series I believe the produced characters like Beetle, Tarantula etc. may have been in show. I'm sure I've seen Animated cells of them from years ago. Let's see if X Men 97 is successful then maybe we'll get Spider Man Animated serie 97 too...🤔

There are times when I'm convinced it's blue but then there are other times that I'm convinced it's black, haha! There is a Punisher run of comics, 7 issue series called "Eurohit" where Tarantula appears a lot and him and Punisher share a bunch of panels and covers even, and they are both drawn with that same blue shading style. Punisher's costume is clearly black so seeing it shaded in blue, exactly how Tarantula is, convinced me that Tarantula's bandana and design in suit is definitely black, just with old school blue comic highlights!

Like the blue * could ve used some black shading and blue on the bodylines and hands and feet. But think about it people. Hes an early evil twin type character! and Spideys Colors are red n blue with black stripes n white eyes!!! So i don t mind personally. Like the character so a modern body wouldve been nice!! Why is he $25 when he has pinned joints and no additional hands?????? Thanks, your review kind of turns me off from him, but given he is a Spider-Man villain, I'm not sure he will last long enough to go on sale.

Because Hasbro is trying to make it the new normal. In a year or two, everyone will still remember but will not be as bothered by the $25 price. It's a simple tactic everyone does in life. Back in the ’90s, if you were fat, you felt ashamed of yourself because it was unacceptable. Fast forward 10 years, and no one care people are fat anymore. But I agree he needs an additional hand. I always say, every figure need holding hands.

If they want the figures to be $25, then fine, but they need to give us the updated bodies to compensate. Also, no one should worry about the weight of a person but that person. If that person feels uncomfortable with themselves, then they should do something about it. If they don't, then don't worry about it.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Tarantula, I dont hate this body, but going by the comic panels, he should have been on bucky capt at least. Hasbro's decisions are baffling sometimes especially when doing a good job on a figure would usually just be the same cost if not cheaper to do right. Stuff like the bandana would be the same but hed look more accurate and ideally that means more sales

I do wish the bandana was black or dark blue, but its not exactly inaccurate to the comics so i can't fault the designers. If anything i'm happy to see a better articulated Tarantula as he's one of my favorite lesser known spidey villains. I think his first spider-themed enemy if memory serves

I think making the bandana dark blue is a nice compromise. Honestly, this would’ve been a nice opportunity on Hasbro’s end to add some black shadow/cell-shading in the middle of the eyes & forehead. That would’ve made it really stand out to me.

I wonder, how did you get all these Retro Card Spider-man figures before you got all the Puff Adder wave figures? So far the only figure I'm interested in in this wave is Ben Riley Spider-man, I don't have a Spider-Man figure yet (I'm very new to Marvel Legends, I only have 2 figures to far 😅) and all the Peter Parker Spidermen are very expensive, Renew Your Vows, Amazing Fantasy, PS5 game, all cost a lot.

Dan doing great getting these figures so quickly because to me he is the fastest toy reviwer alive that we collectors know and support, Tarantula looks cool but nah, I don't need him but I will get The Rose🌹 figure, Great review Dan.

I've been a fan of the somewhat obscure villain for a long time. Since he was premiered in the old classic 🕷🕸Spider-Man🕸🕷 Comic books. I can remember wishing that Mego's lineup would make one that and a Doc Ock figure, but nope. I did find one from the 2000's but it was a weak figure. I've been a fan of the Spider-Man comics since the mid 70's into the 80's. Doctor 🐙Octopus🐙, the Lizard, the Vulture, 🦂Scorpion🦂, Electro, Sandman, the Jackal, Rhino, I've been able to find. EXCEPT for one of my favorite Villains, MYSTERIO. Both the movie version and the Retro Versions were always nabbed by scalpers. The Doctor Octopus figure I got is the Toy Biz version from 20 years back, and I had to pay a high premium for it, but it is worth every cent! I was lucky to have found TWO of them on eBay, one I opened and one I kept unopened. I also have a few of the Toy Biz Spider-Man figures. One of which is apparently worth some money? I also found a Spider-Man 2099 Toy Biz figure as well. I would have gotten the Doctor Octopus that Hasbro released, but it was another one that was never seen in stores, and I only got the Lizard figure because a friend knew how badly I wanted it and he got it for me for a 🎄Christmas 🎄🎁🎁present🎁🎁. The Spider-Man series, both the movie line and the Retro carded figures were always wiped out. Well the more sought after figures anyway. Another line-up that scalpers always wiped out was the X-Men figures. The Retro carded and the regular boxed figures. I got the Beast and Storm figures again from a friend who knew I wanted them badly, but was never able to find them. I am disabled, and being able to pursue my hobbies has become extremely difficult. So one of the things I really loved and enjoyed I now can only do in a limited capacity. I really miss those days. Especially when Toys R Us was still open! Sad, just sad.

You know I was so stoked for this figure that I failed to see how much is missing or not done very well. Again I wanted this character in an action figure for decades and decades! One of my biggest goals is to try and get all of the 🕷🕸Spider-Man🕸🕷 figures AND all of his Villains as well. So when I heard about the new Tarantula figure? I was out of my mind!! Now I'm not bashing it completely. It does look decent. However as the content creator, another commenter said, the lack of accessories that didn't come with this figure is a travesty. Especially the lack of extra hands. THAT SHOULD BE A GIVEN!! But sadly it isn't. The paint apps look okay but as you also suggested, the level of detail could definitely be better. Again I am NOT bashing, trashing, or disrespecting anyone's thinking about this figure, or anyone's comments about it either. It is a decent figure, however where this figure probably gets a 8-8.25 / 10 from me, I was really hoping for a 9.5-9.75 / 10. Am I still going to get this figure? Absolutely YES! I just was hoping for a little bit more. Since they jacked up the prices to ridiculously idiotic amounts I had thought that they'd at least up the quality or at the VERY LEAST not let the quality go into the 💩💩🚽🧻🪠 💩💩🚽🧻 💩💩🚽🧻🪠 TOILET!

Because of no second pair of hands, outdated sunfire body IMO. And inaccurate blue bandana instead of black or black with little blue shading this is hard pass.

He looks good,wasn't comic shang chi on the sunfire body ? It's annoying that now this body has such good side split ability which is something he desperately needed but didn't have. and looking at the new squadron blur body it looks like the sunfire body just pinless so hopefully this will happen with this body in future as it's a good body.

7:33 Is Tarantula supposed to be like a super slippery character, oiled up like a bodybuilder? I'm wondering if it was intentional to make them super high gloss mirrored finish, or is that just the by-product of cheapness and lack of paint? Not trying to sound like a Debbie Downer with all my comments, cause damn, I have a _major_ passion for OG Marvel. God, I hope they lose the license to literally anyone else. I just want decently proportioned, matte finished, no excessive reuse that doesn't fit the character, and actual (and sometimes totally unique) accessories for the characters. I don't think this will be happening anytime soon considering hasbro (unfortunately) still has more money than other toy companies, and that disney marvel license is ridiculously expensive. At least when it comes to 6" action figure versions that are sold at retail; since hasbro pays a lot more compared to all the other companies producing Marvel figures.

With the question about how would I want the bandana, I literally didn't realize there was an issue with that because I've been so focused on what an utter piece of shit the figure is. Main thing obviously is that $26 price point on a super basic figure with ZERO accessories. I get the legends team isn't one for accessories, but I really can't think of any legends I've gotten that didn't at least come with an additional pair of gloved fingernailed hands.
