The reasoning is see for it, is that the open repulsor hands don't have a hinge and the right hand wouldn't fit with the wrist gun.

Granted, Toy Biz went out of business for a reason. But I do find it interesting that this Deluxe War Machine figure, which costs more than a standard Legend, comes with about as many accessories as the original Toy Biz War Machine did. And the Toy Biz figure still came with a BAF piece and a comic book! All for about $7.50 back in the day. Again, Toy Biz made poor financial decisions and times have changed. I just think it's interesting to compare the value and cost then to what we're getting now. In any event, I think Hasbro has done a fantastic job essentially recreating and improving upon Toy Biz's previous effort. I didn't know his shoulder armaments could fold back. That's frickin' brilliant! I also love the 90's era head sculpt. While it's cool that Dave sculpted his own face on to the Toy Biz War Machine, Rhodey has never looked like that in the books. No shade, on Dave. I would have done the same thing if I could get away with it. This new figure is an absolute win! Thanks for sharing, Erivera! Now... If we could only get a 90's Hodomurian Century announced...

At 5:40 those would be rockets. Torpedoes are what submarines use that zoom/dart through the water in a horizontal manner. Those rockets though are too large from what they were supposedly housed in. One question does come to mind....with that shoulder artillery so close to the ears, you would wonder why Tony is not deaf.

The price is a bit iffy. On one hand, the 80th anniversary Iron Man retailed for $24.99, so the price isn't that much higher, but then on the other hand, they're trying to justify the extra $5 with a couple extra accessories. Overall though, the figure looks amazing and I'm will to pay $30 now, rather than hold out for a sale and risk the figure selling out.

Erivera, are the boot thruster effects as soft as the ones that came with Iron Man 2020? I was hoping they'd be a little more rigid. I'm sure War Machine is slightly heavier and I already have issues with Iron Man 2020 tipping over if I try to get too crazy with his posing.

Love the accessories on this guy. I do wish he looked more like his comic art on the side of the box. Just my opinion, I honestly thought the Gamerverse Iron Man was the best Marvel Legends Iron Man head sculpt to date. I would not complain at all if they used that style head sculpt on this..

I did last week. If a civ is gonna review a figure that has military grade weapons such as WM does, they really need to go to wiki or google & do some research on the weapons he sports so they don't sound so ignorant when calling a mini gun a "turret" or not know that those weapons are mounted on rails & that those are rockets & not as you stated, Torpedoes. If you look at War Machines arms, he doesn't have visible pins at the double elbow joints. Hasbro is gonna start phasing this new technique in, and I believe eventually every figure will have pinless elbows and knees. I'm pretty sure this is the very first Marvel Legend to have this, and I think they said the Old Man Hawkeye will be the first to have pinless elbows and knees
