Anthony has a better understanding of the human anatomy, figure construction, and paint work because he is a sculptor himself. Therefore, he has a much more advanced point of view than most other reviewers. He's like a friggin action figure sensei.

​@@collegerebel Except for the batman who laughs they all look awful. The articulation looks extremely ugly in the torsos and the wrists and ankles. The face sculpts are laughably bad, with a few exceptions. It is really sad that these sold out, DC fans really can't catch a break and have to settle for whatever comes out. The Mcfarlane stuff is in 7 inch scale too so it won't work with any of the multiverse or essentials stuff.

I know everyone was looking for Jean, but I solely bought this set because Cyclops came in the Bomber Jacket... That's the look I wanted and Hasbro makes Cyclops too thin. Win win for me. Other than that, 100% agree with this review. Thanks for a purely objective look as always.

Im with you on the Cyclops. I switched out all the yellow straps on my old cyclops, painted an extra set of cuffs from that deadpool figure, but just cant seem to pull the trigger on painting his underwear since the price is so high on the aftermarket. So he doesn't fully match, but at least he's not all orange anymore.

Pretty much on the same page with this set, mediocre with a couple highlights. Agreed about the dark blue color scheme sans jacket on Cyclops (that would've maybe pushed me to pick up this set). One of the glasses heads may be good for Matt Murdock, perhaps? Hate everything about the Jean Grey. Meh to the Wolverine as well. Great and honest review as always, never change! 👏

Sad part is the bone claws make it worth it. I don’t have the past Cyclops or Jean. With that said, this Jean not great but much better. And I personally think the jacket looks cool but also would like that color scheme without the jacket. God that ponytail Jean head is atrocious.

I didn’t get the first Cyclops. I got the three pack and quickly changed the arms and matched the color and stole union jack’s wrist bands. Makes me happy.

The claws are annoying, but they're a far cry from the warped toybiz claws back in the day. We are making progress here, it's just slow, lol. And I do see the flaws with the Jean Grey ponytail head sculpt, but the long hair sculpt is so superior to any other version of Jean we've gotten that I'm just overjoyed to have it. But honestly, some energy effects for Jean, a better maskless face for wolverine and a optic blast effect for Cyclops could've really elevated this set overall.

It sucks cyclops has single jointed elbows due to his jacket! Wouldn’t you think it’s easier to make double jointed elbows for bigger figures than regular 6 inches!

I know this is an old video but I just got this three pack a month or so back and cyclops arm peg got compromised cause of that gap mixed with a really stuck shoulder joint. Thank God the joint didn’t break but the peg is a little whitened so it’s just good for standing rather than posing. Great video man and look forward to more !

For Cyclops I would definitely (a) like to see the darker colour scheme WITHOUT the jacket. (b) instead of the 2 heads with glasses, an Optic blast affect would be nice. Jean needs her eyes fixed imo, they aren't looking straight ahead but upwards which isn't very good to me. Plus she needs a power/blast effect. Wolverine needs better claws. Everything else is acceptable.

Yep , w/o jacket would be sweet ,& i also get tired of re-paintin shiz myself.. A LOT ! Yellin head - yes.Jean - always love the ladies,& Jean a fave. The extra heads a plus.Now ,you know the politics affecting all entertainment medias these days.The end result for a lot of female figs is a 2-cup size breast reduction, & 6 " off the aft.Logan has always been one of my fave X-men ,this outfit/ color the best.Jim & Scott cartoon style.Great reveiw,same complaints & love . Sucks that they both have that random black stripe on the back of the head, and the horrible adamantium claws of course. I remember some episodes from the 90s Animated Series show where the claws looked like, as you say, chop sticks, also, especially the earlier episodes

I have the same problem with Cyclops arm so it's probably a terrible sculpt, I think both Jean faces are awful, Wolverine shaded arms are an absolute joke, I'm very happy with the bone claws and the tattered mask head. I would like the dark blue color scheme on a regular (without jacket) Cyclops. I'm satisfied with this pack because I never bought these characters preview versions. Thanks for the review Anthony.

I have them and I'm just happy I could assemble the X-Men. But they're really just okay. I do agree with your points. I would love to have a jacketless Cyclops with those colors (I don't own the other figure) and I would love to see a screaming visor head. And I do find Jean Grey lacking but thank goodness for the other head sculpt. Question, would the bone claws look good with the Weapon X figure?

I like the look of Cyclops with his jacket although the execution leaves a bit to be desired. Hopefully if there are future releases of Cyclops with the jacket maybe Hasbro will improve on it. But yeah I really like that they added the jacket it looks cool but I feel like it could have done better. Great review overall this is a pretty cool set anyway.

I mean...yeah. Lot's of people missed out on the first releases of Jean and Cyclops and the Jean figure was dated as hell and on a much older body that looked out of place in most modern collections. Wolverine is Wolverine and Hasbro loves him so they were going to throw him in no matter what but this was a good chance for people who missed the original releases to get these, especially with the brighter coloring on Cyke and Wolverine.

Considering how difficult it was to get Warlock wave cyclops they should have just straight up reissued him here instead of the jacket. Both headsculpts on jean are terrible. Why couldn't they use the dark Phoenix normal head with new hair instead. I think ur a bit unfair on Wolverines claws. Isn't the main problem with that is how they plug into the arm? Like theres additional plastic and what not.. atleast they're all straight instead of the worm like claws we got from toybiz.

@@AnthonysCustomsits an issue of the production. The juggernaut wave wolverine I have does approximate the look of the claws coming out of the socket. I guess I'm just happy they're not like noodles anymore.

The company has made SO MUCH MONEY that it seems they lose focus on creating a wanted unique figure and messing up basic accessories of the figures in high demand. They are also in danger of oversaturation of the Legend market again. Since you're an expert in articulation, face features, paint schemes, shading, and overall accessories that actually capture a figure, has this company grown in supplying the consumer with what they want? If not which company comes close to giving collectors what they want and seem to need? Just asking...🙂

Hasbro doesn't have to because more people will buy anything they release than the number of people who choose to spend their money wisely. Why spend money on new molds when you have people throwing money at you for something you already have? Apologists and people who try to justify purchases are the reason companies don't try hard. Bandai and NECA seem to be more oriented toward giving customers what they want but both slip back here and there as well. The only company to ever really go full speed in the direction of making happy customers was SOTA.
