I just purchased the 2022 marvel metal spiderman hobby box and 2 blaster boxes. I really like that set and might focus on a while on collecting them. Plus as a bonus the retention value on top of the beautiful art is great as well. There are some going for hig 5 figures on eBay. I just love that set. But I’m torn between 2022 fleer ultra avengers and the spider metal. I like them both and great and great retention value. I would live your opinion?

The Metalheads cards remind me of the 90's Avengers comic covers. I think there were 4 of them. Silver, Gold, Copper, and one other color I can't recall. But extremely similar in style for sure.

Thank you for sharing! This will be my first metal set to collect from the release date. The checklist is massive, so I'm not expecting more than 1 or 2 good cards from a box. Certainly feels like a set to focus on specific characters only (I've yet to decide who. I PC Elektra and she only shows up on the rave cards, so that'll be an interesting chase.) I'll open one box at release and decide on more when I see the cards in hand. Looking forward to it! Best of luck on your case.

Collected Marvel cards back in the 90’s. Been watching some of your stuff recently as I’ve considered getting back into it. But seeing $350/box has me second guessing. Is this a typical price point? I couldn’t imagine paying $30/pack back in the day.

Unfortunately it’s fairly normal for these higher quality sets, metal, masterpieces, etc. It’s gotten way out of hand.

Opening boxes is very expensive and not recommended for the faint of heart and wallet. I wish it wasn’t so but these prices have been like this for years now

Im starting to get into it as well and theres just no way I can keep up with the prices but there is the Marvel Beginnings Vol 2 sets that are a lot cheaper to get. You can get series 1 for $60 a box and I believe series 2 goes for $100 a box. I don't think they are very favored by collectors but Ive had fun with them none the less.

If there was only a few of us collecting, I would agree, but the only other alternative is just to print a bunch of base or unnumbered inserts that may as well be base because of the amount of collectors now. Therefore, the only way to create these many hits without lowering the print run is to do parallels.
