Iain committed to other projects before he knew they were getting season 7 and so was only available for a few episodes. Fitz is great, but if you just concentrate on him being missing, you're going to miss a lot of the good stuff

They were renewed for one more season, and then in November 2018 (about a month before they finished filming season 6) they were renewed for a second, which they made the conscious decision to make their final season. You have to remember that season 5 was originally supposed to be the end (the season finale of season 5 was literally called "The End"). So while filming that 6th season, it's natural to have expected that they wouldn't be doing anymore after season 6. So in that window before they were renewed for season 7, Iain committed to other projects

(as a retired person I look for good deals) - the staff said Marvel videos fly out the door and these had just been put out. Picked up all 5 seasons for the new price of one in mint condition

It's a tv show not make-a-wish. At the end of the day they have precise schedules, locations, tight budgets and restrictions imposed by the studio (rights to characters, cooperation between studios etc.). It's hard to align any guest stars with shooting schedule and location, even the actor playing Fitz had other projects to work on already. Inundating episodes with cameos that do not 100% fit into the script would just cheapen the ending. Better to have consistent story for a season than just shallow show-and-tell of last 7 years. I am pretty sure the last thing on their mind is entitled "fans" that just thing show should blindly do their bidding just because they are "fans" and "deserve it". So many TV show's do not stick the landing, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is among the few shows that managed to produce good last season and really nice bitter-sweet last episode.

Oh my gosh, Jeff talking about aos being a source of happiness during current day... he has no idea. I got into this show in March with one of my best friends. We hadn’t hung out in a while, as we go to different schools, but it was her idea to watch this show together. We would spend all day together binge watching this show and it just made my week every time. It broke through the dull uncertainty and gave me something to look forward to and become invested in. I am so hooked on this show, one bc it’s such a good show, but also because of the memories I made with my friend and how it really helped get me through scary times.

Jeff Ward just posted on Elizabeth Henstridge's channel this past week that the sets for some reason have not been knocked down - that the alley and other scenes filmed for season 7 that were not destroyed in the last episode are still standing. Clark Gregg makes a funny joke, saying, "Don't you know, they are filming season 8!" It was a funny joke. Thanks again for compiling these interviews and showing their thoughts on the ending.

AOS was my introduction to the MCU. I had avoided phase 1 because of movies like Superman Returns and Hulk and the Fantastic 4 and Ghost Riders. Xmen were hit and miss. So I started watching it casually then started catching the movies little at a time. Basically what I'm getting at is This show is the MCU for me (and Agent Carter, of course). Gonna miss it.

You don't need to watch Superman Returns (its DC lmfao), The Incredible Hulk doesn't really matter, Fantastic 4, and Ghost Riders don't really matter either. Xmen aren't mainstream so really they aren't important. Look up the order of the 23 MCU movies and you can binge them all. I recommend it. Also, Agent Carter was awesome. I wish we got more, like them founding SHIELD. I'll miss AoS too..

@@salientspoon I've watched and re-watched it all several times, even peppering in the one shots, Agent Carter and AOS and the Netflix shows in the proper order and place in the timeline. I have every one of the movies on Blu Ray. I mentioned those others because they were the state of comic book/superhero movies and they made me hesitant to see any of the first MCU movies and that AOS (and Daredevil)Ade me realize that the stories were very good and worth checking out, which I have since back then. I'm also aware that Superman is DC, and Spawn is Image and Bloodshot is Valiant, etc.

Kinda sucks that this show is ending, it was for sure the best show set in Marvel universe as of yet, a couple of others were decent too but sadly all of them failed. This is the only one that ''made it''. I would love many more seasons for sure, but having seven seasons in today's tv and streaming space is a huge accomplishment in itself i feel since so many other shows don't make it past season 1 or past three at best. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had a great run and will be missed for sure. I hope the cast finds some great new projects to be on because all of them are really good actors IMO

This was the first and one of the best marvel shows It’s been a wild ride and a fitting end after endgame it kinda made sense for it to end near to it Thank you for the one last ride the last part of marvel as it was now it’s completely different Thank you Agents of Shield for the last 7 seasons and years Can wait to finish the ride One last ride Once an agent always an agent Even tho this isn’t part of this franchise it fits perfectly Always and forever

I loved the ending it was perfect! The whole show started with them just being shield and then as hydra began to take over the entire show was really about the agents of shield trying to take shield back and protect it while also saving the world, and I think now that they finally got a hold on it especially after all the marvel movies and endgame, it’s the start of a new era and shield is finally back in business and better than ever. 😭

This was just a great ending for all of the characters ending and just the way they went their separate ways. I loved the great powerful and smart female characters. Chloe Bennet is so freaking gorgeous.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. should be in the conversation of best Marvel TV show of all time. Obviously, most people would say Daredevil, but give this show the credit that it deserves to be in the conversation.

Eh, I enjoyed this much more than daredevil, daredevil just felt like a long movie for me, probably cause I just binged the seasons but aos I've been with since 1x02, (I accidentally missed the first one but i pirated it before the next week so its ok) lmao.
